Featured Interview With L. Loren

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I am a simple Southern Lady who loves her husband, but my alter ego is a sexy vixen who writes romance novels. I was raised in a small town in Eastern North Carolina, but I currently live in Birmingham, AL. My husband and I do not have any children, but we a parents to a very spoiled and mischievous cat that we rescued.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I love reading and fell in love with romance novels about four years ago. That’s when I decided to try my hand at writing in this genre. I read the Scarred series by Twyla Turner and fell in love. I have now written five books and participated in quite a few anthologies writing LoveRotica, love stories with an edge of sexy.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Since I started reading romance and erotica a little over four years ago, I have not been able to stop! A few of my favorite authors include Twyla Turner, Olivia Gaines, Nina Levine, Pepper Pace and Eddie Cleveland.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is called Hall Pass. In it my main character, Ari’s boyfriend grants her a Hall Pass to sleep with Hollywood’s sexiest actor, should the opportunity present itself. They are messing around one night and they each make their Hall Pass. His has about 20 model chicks and pop starts where hers only has one name, Dallas Monroe. When she suddenly gets her big chance to live out her fantasy, things take an unexpected turn that no one involved could have foreseen.

Dallas Monroe is one of Hollywood’s brightest and sexiest action stars. He is sick of being labeled a man trophy. He wants desperately to find true love and change his sex symbol image to that of a serious actor. When he runs into PR Rep, Ari Nicole Couture, she will change his life forever. Things get hot and heavy and then they bottom out. I decided to include some real life situations that are happening in Hollywood right now like the sexual harassment issues, but with a twist.

This is a quick read that I tried to make fun. Ari is funny and quirky and Dallas is a dream. I enjoyed writing this book and may revisit it at some point, possibly in a future anthology. Either way, you’ll enjoy this stand alone novel, the first in my Hall of Fame Series.

Featured Interview With Angela Litton

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised in West Virginia, but have spent most of my adult life away from the ‘hills and hollers’ of home. My family, our 10 year old Pomeranian, my daughter’s two kittens, and I live in Indiana.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I’ve been an avid reader since I was very small. Before I could read, I preferred the stories my mom would tell me or read to me over any other form of entertainment. I’ve written stories, poems, and novellas since I was about 12 years old.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I have too many favorite authors to list! I love almost every genre of book, though interest in more serious genres waxes and wanes. Fantasy is probably my favorite, if forced to choose.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
I’m not only a self – published author, but also a first time author. My book, Appalachian Mist: Bobbie’s story, is what I hope will be the first in a family saga, set in a small fictional town in WV. Bobbie, the female lead, returns to face down her personal demons. In the course of this, she falls in love. There are tragedies and victories along the way. It’s her story of struggling to overcome the crazy things life throws at her.
It was a very emotional book to write, despite only having taken a few months for the first draft. I was inspired by a dream I had, which you can read about on my Facebook, but had no plan. Bobbie’s story kind of wrote itself.

Featured Interview With Emeline Piaget

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Western New York, attended school at the University of Buffalo and then went into the military and finished school in the South. I still reside in the beautiful south, bluegrass country. I have two doggos.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have been reading since I was able to hold a book on my own. I started telling elaborate stories to my little sister at night to put her to sleep and my mother used to say “you should write those down,” but sadly I didn’t listen. Many years later, the stories started to come to me again and during a conversation with one of my closest friends I mentioned this. She said, “you should write that down.” This time I did.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I love love, so romance is one of my favorite genres. Shannon Dianne has one of my favorite stories and I actually started writing after reading one of her series. Sherrilyn Kenyon and her Dark Hunter series will always top my list as well.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
I am currently working on a story about a woman named Georgie who gets burned in love. She falls for a younger guy but doesn’t trust him or herself enough to love. This story, along with all of my others, is an interracial romance novel.

Featured Interview With Michele Chantal

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I currently reside in Europe. I am endulging frequently in my spirituality and will be pursuing more paranormal things in my future.
I seek to travel more and laugh as often as possible.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I started writing poetry at 19, but I wasn’t consistent.
I’d sporadically write throughout the decade until I was finally ready to write my first book.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I don’t have a favorite, I enjoy anything that sparks my soul.
Spiritual, self help, non fiction and urban fiction is what i find myself looking at the most though.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
Reaching Nirvana is a refreshing true story of a former military brat who takes you along on her journey of soul discovery & healing. Her open mind expresses her experience in a deep yet humorous way as you fly through chapters of childhood trauma, bullies, sexual assault, expressions of a teenage heart and a marriage that simultaneously killed and rebirthed her soul as she hunted for love. A story of a woman who remembers the magic inside of herself and wants to make it her mission to remind you of how lit you are too. She believes the world is like one big giant Shakespeare play; half the time you can’t understand it, it’s hella dramatic and yet most stick around because everything is so damn poetic. A book with a curious mixture of memoir and self-help through the telling of her story.

Featured Author A. Renee Hunt

Featured Interview With A. Renee Hunt

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My name is Alyssa Hunt and I’m originally from Orange County, CA. I’m the daughter of a Marine, so I’ve traveled and lived in many places, including the U.K., Japan, Hawaii and many states. I currently reside outside of St. Louis, MO with my son and husband. I own a 9 week old chihuahua named Magnus.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I didn’t discover a fascination with books, I was punished into it. I’m laughing as I state this, because my brother and I were so bad, my father would give us books to read that he’d previously read. Once finished, we had to give oral reports. It wasn’t until I was given The Time Machine, by H.G. Wells and The Dragon and The George by George R. Dickson that I became a true reader.

I began writing in fifth grade. I would write stories for my friends in thinned out, spiral notebooks. I literally ripped pages out to create books and drew my own covers. Needless to say, I got in more trouble for wasting paper.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite authors are all the people who’ve either terrified me to death, grossed me out or made me leap or attempt to detach myself from my own skin! Authors like Stephen King, Mark Tufo, Scott Sigler, Ted Dekker, Frank Peretti, Justin Cronin and so many more. They have truly planted seeds within me. But other authors like Stephenie Meyer, Marissa Meyer, Brom that caused me to develop a desire to write with a voice that resonates with my readers.

I want to write with the finger strokes of a poet and all of the aforementioned authors, along with those unnamed have pressed me to do so.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
I have one short story about releasing at the end of the month and an indie novel in the works. It will be my first novel (The Malignant Soul) since leaving traditional publishing behind. My latest book, An Omniscient Memoir: A Dark Retelling is the story of a young woman who decides her best way to get back at someone is through revenge. Sadly, she discovers no dish, served either hot or cold, can assist her in her situation.

I was inspired to write the story by a roadtrip to the Georgia Mountains. The seclusion, quite and constant crackling of leaves by critter feet helped me write it in two days!

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
Kopus Mellini is a Los Angeles born and raised rapper, actor, screen writer, and author. He lives with his lovely girlfriend Ericka and his playful Yorkie Boo.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
My grandmother use to tell me a story every night before I went to bed. She didn’t read to me, her stories were birthed out of her imagination. As soon as I learned to read I discovered there were thousands of stories out there for my curious mind to digest. I wasn’t much of a writer until I hit my late teens. Since then I’ve written hundreds of songs, several screenplays, and three books, all of which I’m releasing the first quarter of this year.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite author as a child was R.L Stine, of Goosebumps fame. I read mostly nonfiction currently, but I still indulge in a Stephen King novel from time to time.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
Creativity and Cryptocurrency bridges the gap between artists and the most fascinating technology I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s more of a reference guide than a book, an introduction into the way cryptocurrency is revolutionizing the creative atmosphere.

Featured Author Heather Kirchhoff

Featured Interview With Heather Kirchhoff

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I’ve lived in the same town in Missouri all of my life. I have a dog named Shadow and a betta fish.

I currently work at a nursing home full-time. My dream is to become a full-time author, though.

I want to write in all genres in my lifetime, but right now I have YA and paranormal books published. I’m also in thirteen anthologies.

One of my short stories, Save Me, was selected to be published in Apocalypse my sophomore year of high school.

When I’m not writing, I enjoy reading, taking pictures, walking, and spending time with my animals, family, boyfriend and friends.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I was thirteen when I fell in love with books. My sixth grade reading teacher had suggested The Phantom Stallion series by Terri Farley to me and I immediately became hooked.
I started writing the summer before seventh grade. So it’s been about seven years.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I love reading YA and paranormal stories.
Richelle Mead, Alyson Noel, and Stephenie Meyer inspired me to write.
I remember reading the end of Twilight and wanting to make others feel the same way I did while reading. Vampire Academy made me want to write even more and Evermore sealed the deal.
I also love reading books by Kate Marie Robbins, Rue Volley, Genevieve Scholl, Bree Vanderland, Nadege Richards, Line F. Nielsen, and Melina Turner.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
It took me a year to write this book. I’m still working on getting it ready for publication, but it’ll be available either late 2018 or early 2019. It’s up on Goodreads now.

Forever Yours is a YA book about two people who met in a restaurant. It also has a paranormal element in it. I loved writing the story.

Kateline is the antagonist of the story. She’s one of those people who gets shy when meeting someone new. So it’s no surprise when she attempts to get away from the stranger she runs in to, even though he’s interested in getting to know her.

Her friends, Kelsey and Melissa, are the exact opposite of Kateline. They think she should put herself out there and live her life.

Here’s the summary:

One thing leads to another…

Chris sees a beautiful girl walk into a restaurant and can’t imagine allowing her to walk away.
Kateline was just hanging out with her friends when a stranger approaches her.
Now, four years later, they are stronger than ever together.
But there is one thing weighing on Chris, and he’s constantly fighting with the voice in his head encouraging him to tell her. He knows he needs to, especially after all this time, but can never find the words.
When Chris takes Kateline on a surprise romantic getaway for Valentine’s Day, whispers about a huge creature appearing in the woods is suddenly the town’s gossip. At first Kateline ignores those comments, knowing there’s nothing to worry about with her boyfriend by her side, until one night she wakes up and finds her partner gone.

Featured Interview With Carol Kravetz

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Northern Ireland, emigrated to Canada in my late 20’s, then to the USA in my late 30’s. I always wanted to return to Northern Ireland and got my wish 6 years exactly ago. In Canada, I started writing and, after the first book was finished, I found I had an idea for another story, then another, then another, until I had completed seven full length novels. They are in a series, now called The Bathville Books and the first in the series “Murder is Just the Beginning” came out in print in February 2017. The second in the series “The Revenge” came out in October 2017 and you can find both on Amazon all over the world. I’m working hard on updating the third in the series, “The Consequences” to hopefully be available in the summer of 2018. I enjoy writing very much and, although I work full time in the Education Authority in Northern Ireland, I still make the time to write. I worked in both Canada and the United States as a medical secretary to various medical professionals and enjoyed my work there very much, as well as the life experiences I was fortunate to have. My husband, Mark, is American and he loves living in Northern Ireland – except for the rain! He is responsible for being my publicist and has been able to book appearances for me in local libraries to help promote my novels. My dream is to one day own a house by the sea, where I can sit and do my writing as I look out over the beautiful seascapes. I don’t have any children, or pets, unfortunately, but if I had the former, I would teach them to read and to enjoy reading as much as I do

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I started reading books when I was about 6 years old. I always had a book in my hand when I was growing up and when I was first married and living in Canada, in the early 1990s, that’s when I started writing. I wanted to one day be a published author and my dream was realised a year ago.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I adore Stephen King and I love reading anything horror (but not gore). I also enjoy police procedural novels and Stephen King, Stuart MacBride and Peter James have been my inspiration for many years

Tell us a little about your latest book?
It is called The Revenge and is the second book in the series “The Bathville Books”. It is a series of seven novels and book 2 starts off roughly about 6 months after the first one left off. It is about the same main four characters, 4 police detectives, two of them are kidnapped by a bad character from one of the 4’s past. He is intent on revenge and will stop at nothing to get it, even if it means murder. The first book introduces the characters, the second one shows how their relationships are developing. The second one, although slightly longer than the first one, only required about two re-writes, I loved the story from the get go and didn’t want it changed in anyway, except to update it to the 21stcentury. It took me about 6 months to write out in long hand and then transfer to a flash drive. I made it grittier than the first story, less romance, more police work and wanted to engage the reader with every page. I think I managed to achieve that.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born to a family of six and raised in a middle-class family, in Lagos. In my early twenties, I moved to England to study, years later while doing a part-time job I met and married my husband. I started writing at a very young age but took it more seriously about ten years ago. I love dogs, I am not a fan of cats or any crawly animal. I love writing, I love romance, thrillers, suspense and I love reading books in those genres.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I started writing in my teens when I discovered the love of reading. I aspired to write like the authors of the books that I love.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite authors are indie authors, I have fancied a few books by traditionally published authors. J.K Rowling is top of that list. I love reading books by Jesse Joren, I love reading Stephen King’s books. My inspiration comes from everyday life. I look at a situation and then I build a story around it in my head. My head is always working, and my fear is that I may not be able to get all the ideas and books swirling in it down. So, I write and write, and at times, I find myself crying, or laughing along with my characters and in every way I feel very fulfilled and blessed that I am able to do this as a career.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest release is Sebastian 3: Conquest of power. It is the third installment in my Sebastian vampire romance saga. It is a must-read, as a matter of fact, all three books are must reads if you enjoy high-quality vampire romance adventure. Even if you are not into that genre, I can promise you that you will find my books exhilarating and a breath of fresh air to the genre. Conquest of power like all my other books and books in this series is a real page-turner, I finished the first draft of a hundred thousand words in a month and a day. Conquest of power is packed with amazing characters, a lot of characters that from Sebastian 2: Dark times arising, come to play in this one, there is an epic war that had been brewing from the beginning, there is guilt, betrayal, forgiveness, love, power all displayed beautifully by My characters were screaming at me to write and I wrote every night for five to eight hours until it was complete. If you haven’t read the previous books be rest assured that you will not be left high and dry, all answers to any questions you will find at the beginning of the early chapters are definitely answered in the later chapters. I promise you, you would want to read more and it’s lucky that I am currently working on the fourth book Sebastian 4: The call of hearts, which will be released sometime in April so please look out for it. These books are amazing reads, starting from the very first one Sebastian: The Life of Sebastian and Hanna Greene. So please check them all out and treat yourself to a delightful read. I am also working on some children books. I also just release Jaekeal: The hunter Boy, it is a must read for children, a very interesting story about a boy who’s always wanted to be like his father but after going through his own adventure discovers he was nothing liuke his father.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I moved from my hometown of London to Sydney after a steamy holiday romance with a sexy bass player in sultry Brazil. I have toured with said badass and several bands, in Australia and overseas, and draw from the things I saw and heard during those crazy times in my novels. Twelve years, two children and a dog later, and I’m still in Sydney, and still smitten.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
An avid reader for as long as I can remember, I always knew I’d write a book of my own someday. Finally, after a career spanning advertising, marketing, and social media, I was inspired to write Catching London drawing on my own experiences.

My love affair with romance started when at eleven I discovered a stash of my aunt’s books. After a summer holiday spent devouring them from cover to cover, I was hooked on bad boy heroes and smart heroines. I wrote my first novel in 2017, and it’s the first of many!

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
As a romance writer, it probably goes without saying that I’m a romance lover.

The first romance novel I ever read was a now somewhat controversial YA classic by Liz Berry, called Easy Connection. In many ways, that book is where my road to becoming an author began. I read and reread it countless times, marvelling in the writing, the themes and the emotions it evoked in me. It’s out of print now, unfortunately, and somewhat of a collectors item, as copies are few and far between. However, somewhat serendipitously, as I submitted my final edit of Catching London to my publisher, I randomly stumbled across a copy on eBay here in Australia. It wasn’t cheap, but I had to have it – it seemed like to much of a good omen, and a fitting reward for my hard work!

The first adult romance novels were those I unearthed at my aunt’s house – they were by Virginia Andrews, Jilly Cooper, Jackie Collins and Danielle Steele – stalwarts of romance. I guess they were influential in introducing me to some of the main tropes and themes of the genre. Nowadays follow many contemporary writers and am a fan of anything with great dialogue, a badass hero, and a kickass heroine. I have just finished two great books by fellow Australian writing team Haley Jenner – their debut and sophomore novels – Archer and Jake. Reading time is scant right now, as I work towards the release of Catching London, but I’m eagerly awaiting Bennett, the third novel in their Leaves of a Maple series.

I have been a voracious reader for as long as I can remember, so there are too many favourites to name check them all, but I have to say that my first experience of being truly wowed by a book was Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. I think I would have been 8 or 9 years old. To this day I’m still a die-hard Dickens fan. I couldn’t (and still can’t) get enough of the his vivid characterisations and skill at bringing the sights, sounds and feelings of Victorian Britain to life on the page.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
Catching London is a smoking hot contemporary romance set in the sultry cities of New York and Paris.

The story follows sexy millionaire rocker Arlo Jones and stunning dancer-turned-photographer London Llwellyn. The two meet in unusual circumstances when Arlo finds London naked in his shower. Sparks fly instantly, and neither can ignore the chemistry they share, but their relationship is a rollercoaster ride from the get go.

Self-confessed womanizer Arlo lives the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle to its fullest, and is used to getting what he wants, especially when it comes to the opposite sex. However, despite her undeniable attraction to him, London isn’t in the market for his bad boy ways, no matter how unbelievably hot he is. In fact, a relationship with anyone at all is the last thing on her mind, least of all with a rock star like Arlo. Still reeling from the tragic death of her fiance some years previously, London is determined to rebuild her career, and she’s determined not to let a sexy distraction like Arlo Jones get in the way.

Although he’s a total badass, it’s clear that Arlo has finally met his match in London, and she refuses to give him an inch. Most of the time. The rest of the time she finds herself inexplicably and irrevocably drawn to him, as much as she tries to avoid him. Unfortunately for him, Arlos’ reputation precedes him. while he promises to always be there to catch her London, she’s not sure if she can trust him enough to let herself fall.

If you like your boys as hot as sin, your girls smart and sassy, and your romance hotter than hot, Catching London is the book for you.

I just LOVED writing this book, it was so much fun! I especially enjoyed crafting the dialogue between the central couple. Arlo, the lead male is rough and raw – he’s a musician, after all. Despite her delicate appearance, his love interest and the main protagonist of the noel, London is no wallflower. She gives as good as she gets, always ready with the pithy one-liners designed to put Arlo in his place. Their interactions simmer with sexual tension each and every time. I won’t lie, I fell in (and out of) love with Arlo several times along the way, and found myself really wanting him to get his happily ever after.

Although this is my first book, amazingly, once I sat down to commit this story to paper (it lived in my head for a long time before that), it pretty much wrote itself. I’m lucky that I had plenty of personal experiences to inspire my writing – which no doubt, made the job easier.

Fuelled by copious amounts of coffee, the vast majority of my writing takes place late at night. I write almost exclusively between 9pm and 3am, but have been known to stay up until dawn, or forgo sleep altogether to get the job done.

As a busy working mother of two small children, this has been the most effective (albeit tiring) way to ensure that I make time for writing. That being the case, sleep is in pretty short supply, so I’ve embraced the mantra “You can sleep when you’re dead.” So far, so good!

Featured Interview With Shane Barker

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I live in a small town in central Utah where I own a small horse farm. I have one dog (a black lab named Keena who I rescued from a shelter). Every morning, as soon as it’s light, we go out to the farm and go mountain biking for an hour or so. (I have a Fat Bike for when it snows, but when the snow gets too deep we cross-country ski.) Once we’re back I like to sit on the tailgate of my truck and work on my books. (I mix that up with the farm chores . . . write a little, work a little, play with the dog, write some more.) It’s while I’m out riding (or skiing) that I come up with a lot of the ideas for my stories. I always carry a notebook and pen, and I’ll stop several times during my ride to write down thoughts and ideas.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I’ve always loved reading, and I started writing stories when I was in fifth grade. One of the first books I remember reading was called “Up Periscope” by Robb White, and I still have my original copy. It’s still one of my all-time favorite books. While I was in junior high I spent a lot of my class time thinking-up and writing stories; I did the same thing in high school and college. Once I got into college I became a sports writer, and I think that’s one reason most of the books I write now are action oriented.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite author is John Sandford. I love the way he puts humor into his work (even when things are serious). He creates awesome characters and engaging plots and I can reread his books again and again. When I was younger I read all of Alistair MacLean’s books. I still keep “Ice Station Zebra” and “Where Eagles Dare” at the top of my bookshelf.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is called “Demon’s Treasure.” I first got the idea while coaching youth football. (Don’t know how that happened, exactly, but there you go!) The story’s about a boy spending the summer aboard his father’s research ship near the Bermuda Triangle. They discover the wreckage of a lost Spanish treasure galleon, and from there things go from bad to worse to miserable in a hurry. One of the villains is a huge, hulking lurch my protagonist–Jansen–often refers to as “Kong.” (I rarely use the guy’s actual name. Every time Jansen mentions him he calls the guy “Kong,” or “Sasquatch” or “the Apeman” or . . . well, you get the idea. I had a great time thinking up names for him.) The funny thing, though, is that I have no idea where the idea for the guy came from. One draft of the book was Kong-free, and in the next there he was, terrorizing all the other characters and giving me nightmares. (I’m glad he showed up, though . . . he adds a whole new dimension to the story!)

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
Prithiv here, I live in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu with my family. Before I began writing, I experimented with various occupations: mechanical supervisor, computer networking, human resources… In any case, my most loved occupation is the one I’m currently doing full time – writing books. I also front a local death metal band.

I do not have any pets as of now, but would to adopt a dog in the near future.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have been into reading short stories since my childhood and I used to be an avid reader of books from Scholastic during my school days. I started writing not very long ago, just a year back and here I am now.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite authors are Stephen King, James Herbert, John Saul and many more. The genre I love to read is horror and it has been that way since a very long time. I mostly read short stories, that’s my thing.

For most of my writing, I’ve no fixed idea about who I’m going to meet or what’s going to happen. This ‘technique’, as it’s laughingly called, pretty much relies on making the empty page. I find that when I have no idea what I’m going to write sitting down and writing anyway jump-starts my imagination.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
‘Manhattan Courtship’ is a Fictional Romance novel on two supreme strangers who meet each other in Manhattan. The book takes the readers through the life of the Protagonist, his dreadful past and the need for him to toss himself in a conventional position just to ensure his love life falls in the opportune place.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I’ve has always called Texas home, but I have a passion for world travel.

Before taking up writing, I have had a long career in law enforcement. Besides the self-torture of writing books, I also love the self-torture of running. I am currently working on book three of my young adult trilogy in ‘The Blood Dagger’ series.

When not writing, I enjoy reading any books by Jim Butcher, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Joe Hill, and J.K. Rowling. A lot of author’s write about pets on their bio’s… I just have a rescue parakeet named Peeta (As in the Hunger Games). I found him pecking at concrete in the parking lot of my jogging trail during the sweltering heat of the Texas summer. It can get hot enough to melt tar on the roads, so I figured the little guy needed some help.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I think the that the same time I started breathing was the same time I started reading… okay, maybe I’m not that smart, but I remember reading Stephen King while still in middle school.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I started off reading Stephen King and then I got fascinated by true crime and the Italian Mafia, so I started reading The Godfather and any books by Joseph Pistone – he was a former FBI agent who infiltrated the mob for six years, deep undercover. Then I had this Silence of the Lambs craze and I had to read everything I could about Clarice Starling – she was such a strong female lead to look up to at the time. I was also an agent Scully fan. After being in police work for fifteen years, I now gravitate toward reading anything fantasy, paranormal, sci-fi and supernatural. Writers like Jim Butcher, Terry Goodkind, Rainbow Rowell, Cassandra Clare, J.K. Rowling, Dean Koontz and Stephen King still enthrall me.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
The Outcasts is about an incessantly teased teen, Larna Collins, who gets thrown into the paranormal world by attempting to find her absentee father. With nothing but his journal to help guide her, a tenacious nerd sets out to track down her father all the way from Texas to a small parish in England. She ends up being thrust into a world she never knew existed – one full of powerful vampires, strange allies, and mystical relics. But the outcome is nothing you’d expect. Could this explain her father’s disappearance? Or was placing her in the center of danger her dad’s master plan all along?

Featured Interview With Viktoria Papp

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I am a 19-year-old college student currently residing in Mississippi, majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Psychology. After moving to the States from Hungary, writing has become an essential part of my life, and guided me through the hardships of dealing with changes and adapting to a completely new environment. I have published one book so far, but there are many more other projects I am working on right now, that I would like to launch in the near future.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I was about 10 years old when I discovered the amazing world of books, and I started writing when I was 13.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I don’t have favorites, I usually like to read books in the fantasy, young adult, paranormal genres, or whatever helps to take me out of the “normal” world and put me into my own. My inspiration comes from many different places, sometimes music helps to get me in the mood, or a good movie works too, and other times it’s simply life that ignites the spark.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest (and first) book is called 365 Sleepless Nights. It was inspired by the challenges and feelings I’ve experienced last year and maybe even a couple years before that. Moving to a place where no one knows you makes you question everything that you thought you were. It’s been a long process of healing, and I still don’t know exactly where this road leads, but hopefully, things will change for the better.

Featured Interview With Gary Guinn

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My family has lived in the southern Ozark Mountains since the Civil War. The landscape of the Ozarks–the hardwood forests, rivers, lakes–run deep in the family bloodstream (along with the ticks and chiggers). I live in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, with my wife, Mary Ann, and our two dogs, Seamus and Peanut. We love to read, write, travel, and I brew beer (and of course, drink it). We recently bought a classic old Safari Trek RV and plan on skipping the worst of winter in the Ozarks in future years.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
My fascination with books began on my eleventh birthday, when someone gave me a copy of Treasure Island. I loved that book. I still have that copy. I gave both my sons a copy on their eleventh birthdays. Like so many young people, I wrote bad poetry for many years, with friends who also wrote bad poetry, but I didn’t start seriously writing fiction until mid-career as an English professor.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I love to read John Irving, Louis Nordan, Louise Erdrich, several of the Scandinavian crime writers, especially Hakan Nesser. I love reading literary fiction, and I love reading crime fiction. The ideal book for me is a beautifully written, literary crime novel. That’s probably why I like Nordic Noir so much.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book, Sacrificial Lam, is set on a small college campus, where an English professor receives a death threat, which he initially ignores. Then the violence begins, and he realizes someone really does want him dead. He and his family are pushed to their limits and forced to examine their lives and values while finding out what they will do to survive. The novel was inspired by actual events early in my teaching career, when a colleague received anonymous death threats from a student extremist.

Featured Interview With Sharon Haste

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Queensland, Australia and currently live in Darwin in the Northern Territory. I love animals and currently have two dogs- staffordshire terriers; and a black cat. I have always been passionate about reading and sharing my enjoyment with others. I love writing about young people and showing them the strength and resilience that’s inside. Through my stories I hope to empower others to find their inner strength and never give up. I write about what’s real in people’s lives, but like to keep a tiny touch of magic to inspire the imagination.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I cannot remember a time when I did not read. As a child I read a variety of books and often spent time in the library at school. It was my escape from reality and ignited my own imagination. I began writing stories in my teens and wrote fairy stories for my older children when they were young. Then life and work got in the way until I was in my thirties when I began to study writing and reignite my passion for writing fiction.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favourite books are so wide and varied. I love young adult fiction, but also thrillers and murder/mystery as well as historical novels. Authors I really enjoy are; Kate Morton, Robert Dugoni, JK Rowling,Robert Galbraith, Tim Winton, Robert Galbraith, Steig Larson, Veronica Roth, Lauren Oliver, Stephanie Meyer and Jodie Piccoult. I also like many individual books and have read a lot of indie books. My writing comes from real life and imagination. My favourite authors are JK Rowling and Kate Morton and these writers inspire me the most.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
The idea for my novel ‘The Last Time’ came from a combination of real life events – as seen every night on the news – and the thought of how one young girl may react to a heartbreaking situation. Sixteen year old Charli Richter has everything until her mother and brother die in a terrible accident. When the police treat it as suspicious, and she is the number one suspect, she goes into survival mode. At first she panics and runs, but after hooking up with some new friends and finding out that the pendant her mother gave her can actually take her back in time, she switches into fight mode. I created Charli’s character around real life people that I know and my own experiences. She could be anyone faced with a tough situation. I like to make the characters in my books as real as possible and let them take on a life of their own. The Last Time is a story of heartbreak, time travel, friendship, mystery and a little bit of love.
