Author Bio:
Dr. Ronaghy graduated from Shiraz University in 1961 with his MPH degree and from The Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health in 1970, where he obtained his MD degree. He became Professor of Medicine and Community Medicine in Shiraz. In 1980 and following the Islamic Revolution in Iran, he came again to the United States and started his practice of medicine and engaged in research and teaching at the University of California, San Diego. He was an adjunct professor of Community and Family Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, for thirty years. He has written six books in Farsi and has published more than forty original articles on health-related topics (Healthmanpower, Nutrition and Migration) in U.S. and British journals. He has been married to Sima Amidi Ronaghy for 57 years, and they have two children, Sara and Ali Ronaghy. His mission in life is the famous four L’s: Living, Learning, Loving, and Leaving a Legacy in life.
