Werewolf Awakening: The Hunt Begins by Shirley Spain
Not the Typical Werewolves Often Portrayed by Hollywood and it’s FREE…
Desire. Double Cross. Murder. Introducing Florianna Erew. This beautiful werewolf is on the prowl for a mate, preferably a Hungarian man with werewolf genes. Meanwhile, the dreaded Exterminators from the Old Country seem to have been reorganized to capture and behead werewolves as their ancestors had centuries ago.
Will Florianna find love with Laszlo Veres, the homicide detective eager to solve the rash of brutal murders in the area? Or will Viktor Balogh, her childhood hero, finally track her down and have her, if not of her own free will, then by force? Will she escape the Exterminators?
Find out in the exhilarating first book of the Full Moon trilogy, which is permafree. This unique werewolf tale meshes plausible real-world relationship situations and murder investigations, with the desires of those covertly living the supernatural lifestyle to create an exhilarating killer-good thriller.

Animal Lover. Fitness Instructor. Author of dark and chilling thrillers.
Deciding to diversify from writing crime thrillers to shape-shifter thrillers, I asked myself questions about how the werewolves in my books would differ from the stereotypical versions who helplessly transformed during the full moon.
What if werewolves had the power to shape-shift at will and were in complete control of when they would shape-shift and for how long?
What if they could choose to partially transform, like a hand or their face, while the rest of their body remained in human form?
What if some werewolves manifested additional animal attributes while maintaining their wolf form?
What if werewolves were a hybrid species, crossed between human and wolf?
What if werewolves were born rather than transformed by a curse? And if so, when and how would they begin to manifest werewolf traits?
What if silver didn’t kill werewolves? What would?
By asking myself those questions, ideas percolated. Character traits gelled and my version of werewolves took shape in the Full Moon trilogy.
As for my crime thriller novels, I strive for “plausible realism” and gain critical details from “police ride-along” experiences as well as educating myself by attending and graduating from the West Jordan Citizen’s Police Academy and receiving training as a CERT member (Community Emergency Response Team). I’m a West Jordan Police Department VIPS (Volunteer In Police Service).
