About The Sound of the Future:
Frank Presley is a simple man with a simple life, a father and a husband, and a person of no real ambition other than his love for heavy metal music. And life is good for Frank and his family, until the world begins a sudden downward spiral, caused by mysterious sounds heard all across earth’s atmosphere. Shortly after the sounds occur, society changes drastically. Frank changes too, as overnight he acquires perfect pitch, along with a love for classical music.
Frank’s changes are minor compared to his wife’s, as she develops a penchant for cutting herself with sharp knives, preferably after they’ve been heated on the stove. Hers is a drastic transformation, which mimics society’s as a whole. And the most miraculous change, as Frank observes, is that of his nonverbal autistic daughter, who breaks free of her disability and starts talking. But Frank’s euphoria over this is short-lived, as the world’s one-way trip towards insanity becomes quick and sudden.
