When up-and-coming Hollywood star Lara Rose’s career begins to stall, her manager arranges a tour to entertain the troops during the Thanksgiving holiday. With the interference of fate, Captain Edward Madin is assigned as her escort. At the end of her time there, Lara realizes she has grown fond of him and, for both a publicity stunt and her own interest, she begins writing him letters while he is on assignment in the Middle East.

Author Bio:
Michael E. Bistrica, the youngest of four children, was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated from Ursuline High School (’75) and then attended Youngstown State University earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree (’79) in mechanical engineering. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers. He served in various staff and command positions in the United States and overseas with a tour in Korea. He is a Desert Storm veteran and before retiring from the army in 1996 as a Major, he earned his master’s degree in technology management. After leaving the army, he worked as a project manager for a design engineering firm and as a project manager for several general contractors in Georgia. He is now retired and lives with his wife Karen of 33 years in Florida. They have a daughter, a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
