The Girl of Ivory

About The Girl of Ivory:

In this vivid picture book, a lonely boy’s prayers for a companion lead him down a path of good versus evil. After growing impatient waiting for the Lord’s answer, he discovers an old magazine in his grandfather’s attic and calls a mysterious hotline promising to help him find a friend. The very next day, a package arrives with a single seed and a note instructing him to bury and water it. Obeying the instructions, the boy plants the seed, and within days, it grows into a striking ivory plant—inside of which is a little girl, the same age as him.

The two quickly become best friends, but the note that came with the seed had warned of a blood moon, a warning the boy chose to ignore. Their happiness is short-lived, as the girl suddenly disappears, leaving the boy heartbroken and searching everywhere for her.

One night, there is a knock at the door, and the girl returns—but not as the friend he once knew. She has transformed into a terrifying creature. Now, the boy must confront the consequences of his actions and protect his family from the nightmare he unwittingly unleashed.

The moral of the story is clear: listen to God and trust in His timing, for impatience and the temptation to take matters into our own hands can lead to dangerous consequences. This tale teaches the importance of faith, patience, and the perils of straying from the righteous path.
