Stacked for Murder by Mark H. Bliss
When an Elmwood, Missouri, librarian is found murdered, police soon zero in on a book-banning preacher. But did he do it? River City Journal reporters Connor Tate and Rachel Short aren’t convinced. As they dig deeper, their investigation uncovers other possible suspects even as circumstantial evidence points to the minister. Facing a murder charge, the preacher continues to maintain his innocence amid revelations of adultery and a blackmail scheme that has his defense attorney seeking answers from a cigar-smoking private investigator. When two more murders occur, Connor and Rachel must unravel the clues to solve the killings.
