About Operation Absolom:
There’s an old saying in the Army, ‘Never volunteer for anything’. It has been said many times, so why on Earth did Steven Carter ignore it?
After volunteering for the Army Commandos, Carter finds himself cut off in enemy occupied Norway. It’s winter, it’s cold and the enemy are hunting for him. Can he survive against all these odds? Even if the Germans don’t capture him, can he find a way back to England?
This novel is based on several true life events. It tells a story of superhuman courage, daring and defiance. If you want to read about people who would sacrifice themselves so that others can sleep safe at night, Operation Absolom, is the book for you.

Author Bio:
Robert (Bob) Cubitt has always been keen on writing and has tried his hand at various projects over the years, but the need to earn a crust had always interfered with his desire to be more creative. After serving for 23 years in the RAF, working as a logistics planner for Royal Mail and as a Civil Servant with the Ministry of Defence, Robert took up writing full time writing in 2012 and now has a large catalogue of work published.
Bob likes to write in several different genres, whatever takes his fancy at the time. His current series are sci-fi and World War II history and genres don’t come much more diverse than that. His work was published by Ex-L-Ence Publishing until 2020 but we are now happy to welcome Bob into the Selfishgenie fold.
In his spare time Bob enjoys playing golf, is a member of a pub skittles team and is an ardent Northampton Saints fan.
