My name is Taniqua Banks. I am 40 years old. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY. “The city that never sleeps”. That is what most say. There is absolutely a lot of validity in that statement. But when it comes to writing, it has always been a passion for me. To be able to manually express your thoughts has been fulfilling for me. It has been cleansing for me. It has allowed me to create a safe haven for myself. Expression is important. It is needed. One of the best ways to do it is through writing. I believe that not everyone is the greatest at expressing themselves vocally. That has been a personal challenge for me growing up and sometimes now still as an adult. Writing is a different avenue to explore. Writing became life for me. It gives an opportunity for the voiceless to be heard.
