Know The Beast by Minerva Hart

Poppy and Arthur Gibbs are twins, best friends, and each other’s rock. Seeing as their addict mother has never taken care of them, they’ve become their own – and each other’s – parents instead. They’ve had hundreds of under-the-counter jobs, and have had to hide their money from their mother so that she won’t go on a bender. Throughout all this, two things keep them going: Their bond, and their shared dream of making it big in Hollywood. Arthur would become a famous actor while Poppy would make award-winning costumes.

But a night in the wood shatters that dream forever. Poppy is bitten by a werewolf, and after taking her first life, she flees the state to keep her brother safe. Eventually, she learns something crucial: That smoking wolfsbane will buy her time, keep the curse at bay, but it will catch up to her sooner or later.

Twelve years later, Poppy’s time as a human is nearly up. She can’t stop the final transformation, so she instead decides to spend her last days making amends with Arthur. When she tracks him down, he’s nothing like she remembers: Instead of becoming an actor, he’s become a porn star living in a seaside house that his closeted lover has bought for him. For his part, Arthur doesn’t know how to take his sister – whom he’d thought dead – after so many years.

Can the Gibbs siblings repair their relationship, despite their respective transformations? Or will their beasts consume them?
