Author Bio:
Alyssa Mitchell was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She has always loved to write and began writing short stories at the age of seven. She was inspired to write poetry at the age of nine and has been writing both for many years. She read her first poem to a live audience at the age of twelve, and though she had stage fright, this experience was the beginning of her love for theater as well. Alyssa moved to Indiana to attend Indiana State University, where she received her degree in Psychology.
Alyssa has acted in many plays and written quite a few as well. She has previously worked as a social worker and hopes that her stories are read by those children that need to be encouraged. She believes writing children’s books is a calling and she is thrilled to accept the new challenge in her life.
Alyssa is married with two children and enjoys being a mother and wife. She thanks God for the many blessings she has and the ones yet to come. She hopes in her success as in her failures she can continue to bless others with her life and her work.
