I Had Killer Boobs: How I Slayed My Tumor with Sass & Humor by Lucy Beato
Have you ever thought about doing something as bizarre as throwing a party for your boobs even though they wanted to kill you? Well, I did!
You might think I’m crazy, and you may be right! Being diagnosed with breast cancer is not necessarily a reason to celebrate; yet, I could not allow such an important milestone in my life as losing my breasties to go unnoticed.
Going through cancer is terrifying; you experience an emotional imbalance: worry, fear, grief, uncertainty, and even anger. Despite all these feelings, I turned to humor as my coping mechanism and my best form of therapy. It helped me diminish some of those emotions and kept me sane in the midst of chaos. So, after accepting that I had Killer Boobs, I decided to slay my tumor with a bit of sass and humor.
I know there is nothing funny about cancer unless you have a sense of tumor, but it can certainly help you heal. Your primary focus is to beat it, but while doing so, laugh with it, otherwise, it will kill you. Once you overcome cancer, you become sassy, unstoppable, and fearless.
f you’re ready to fight Cancer like a Boss, this is the book for you (or someone you love who is fighting).
