Kate McKane, a woman left on her own, struggles against greed and corruption on the Oregon frontier. Wilford Johnson, a black mountain man, knows the sting of the white people’s prejudices. Author Bio:
I am an Oklahoma farm boy and retired electronics engineer turned indie writer. My interest in writing goes back to my early days reading the works of Mark Twain and Zane Gray, and later authors such as Larry McMurtry, author of the western classic “Lonesome Dove”. This novel had a big impact on me having a go at writing. Books have always fascinated from an early age. I have always been amazed that how a skilled writer came make the words on page come alive. I’m still Oklahoma boy living in the town of Noble in the Oklahoma City area.
