About Four Anxious Armadillos:
Journey with Nilda, a small nine-banded armadillo, as she works her way through Argentina on a quest to cure herself of anxiety and fear. Meet the anxious armadillo friends who share the adventure with her through the Pampas, the rainforest and the great Iguazu Falls. The armadillos face their anxieties and fears together, meeting a jaguar, an anaconda, a gaucho, and a wise sloth. Their perceived weaknesses become their strengths as they ultimately learn about the empowerment of friendship in this delightful chapter book. Young readers will follow the armadillos’ quest across the varied terrain of Argentina while picking up some anxiety coping skills, regional Spanish expressions, a bit of geography, and fun facts about four very unique species of armadillos.
