To be fair, there are lots of types of vampires–different species, if you like–and his particular type is called a “Nightlord.” But so what? Eric read all about various monsters, but he didn’t believe in any of them.

At least his sense of humor seems up to the task of coping with his new circumstances–or he’s using it as a coping mechanism. Nobody’s sure just how sane an involuntary vampire can be.
