Featured Interview With C. R. Stewart

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I am originally from Newport Beach, California, and have twenty years of experience writing fiction, nonfiction, and movie screenplays. My areas of expertise also includes film and media production, global strategy, and international marketing.

I received a Bachelor of Arts in British Literature and European History from Brown University; did post- graduate work at Harvard University; earned an MBA from Boston College; and am pursuing a Master of Science in Advanced Management and a PhD in Strategy.

I am now based in San Diego, and am a strong supporter of education and the arts. I enjoys world travel, reading, riding, swimming, sailing, tennis, and am currently on a National School Book Tour with Britfield & The Lost Crown speaking to students on the importance of creativity! (so, no pets left at home!)

Britfield & The Lost Crown was conceived as an idea over 10 years ago while I was enduring a boring finance seminar. It started as a sketch of a hot air balloon with a young boy and girl trapped inside. From this simple drawing sprang the entire concept and story for Britfield.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
It really started for me in 6th grade. What a wonderful teacher and an amazing class. Our assignment was to write a book. Can you imagine an assignment like that, where do you start? I think there was a limit of 30 pages. I was 12 and loved the James Bond movies, so I wrote James Bond Eat Your Heart Out. I was a secret government agent working for the British government and had an assignment to track down a notorious villain. My partner was Jaclyn Smith (that should date me). We traveled all around Europe tracking down the villain and were involved in high-speed chases and plenty of combat. I had so much fun writing this and the experience never left me. I still have this book, wrapped in a leather binder with embossed lettering. This was when I knew I wanted to be a writer, it just took a long time to get there.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I have always been creative. I loved reading as a child, movies and storytelling, so all these areas had a huge influence on my life. Some of my favorite books growing up were The Mouse and the Motorcycle, by Beverly Cleary; James and the Giant Peach and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, by Roald Dahl; and the Hardy Boys series. As I grew older, I enjoyed Charles Dickens and his ability to take a Shakespearean cast of characters and seamlessly weave them through his stories (Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, and Great Expectations). I was heavily influenced by C. S. Lewis, his amazing depth and creativity as an author. Jane Austen captured the aristocracy, the intrigue, the forced etiquette and the psychological games and hypocrisies of the upper classes. The Bronte sisters, Charlotte, Emily and Anne, wrote mysterious, romantic gothic novels that are powerful, moving and deep, such as Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights. Thomas Hardy took simple characters living in a rural setting and created complex, multilayered stories. And Daphne du Maurier, such as her epic novel Rebecca. I have visited most of the places these stories took place or were based on.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
I am exciting that you are interested in Britfield & the Lost Crown. Part of a seven book series, Britfield was conceived as an idea over 10 years ago while sitting in a seminar in New England. It started as a sketch I did of a hot air balloon with a young boy and girl trapped inside. From this simple drawing sprang the entire concept and story for Britfield. I also liked the idea of adventure, exploration and freedom—seeing an extraordinary country for the first time: moving from place to place, enjoying spectacular scenery and exciting events, learning new things, meeting people, making friends and having hope for a better future. I like that not everything is what it seems. Not everyone is who you think they are: the simple often can become great, the great often turn out to be simple. Everyone has a unique story and this is Tom and Sarah’s story.

Britfield, Book I takes place in England, and I have always loved the country—its complex history, dynamic culture, wonderful people and beautiful countryside are filled with a rich tapestry of amazing stories. I also lived in England for almost a year and have been back to visit over thirty times. I have visited Hadrian’s Wall between Scotland and England, walked the haunting moors by the Brontes’ home in Haworth, wandered the streets of London, toured Dicken’s house, explored Thomas Harding’s Dorset and made my way down to the Cornish shores of Fowey, where Daphne du Maurier wrote her romantic suspense novels. All these experiences have deeply influenced my life and my writing, especially Britfield & the Lost Crown. Enjoy this exciting adventure novel!

Featured Author Charlotte Rose

Charlotte RoseFeatured Interview With Charlotte Rose

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My Name is Charlotte Rose, I was raised and currently still live in England, Essex. I have a cat called Angel who isn’t always such an Angel ! So, If you see any jargon in my writing that will be either my Essex slang or my furball Angel, pawing away at the keyboard asking for a little more attention.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
It actually took me a while to get into reading, as I struggle with dyslexia, so, I take my time to read and write. However, once I found Jacqueline Wilson in my young teens, I absolutely adored her books. I read every book she wrote and when there were no more, I was like a puppy without its bone. I then struggled for a while, to find a book I wanted to read.

I started writing my first book, Once a Year, when I was fourteen years old. Once a Year starts on a beautiful Greek island, called Poros, where I go every summer with my family. I remember where it all began, standing on the ferry going home and writing the first chapter in my head.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favourite thing to read is Round Adult romance fiction, I am a sucker for romance, for the romance that in real life, I would think is far too dramatic, give it to me in a book and i’ll turn to mush.

I don’t particularly have a favourite author apart from my obsession with Jaqueline Wilson as a young teen, I do have a lot of favourite books though.

‘The Way I Use to Be’ by Amber Smith, is my all time favorite book. I was lost for words, The Way I Use to Be, is one of the most powerful books I have ever read. The story is so delicate and raw with deep emotional. I don’t cry at books but I cried at this, I got angry, I got sad I felt every emotion my body was capable to feel. I don’t even know if I would call it a book, it’s as if I was holding a heart or a broken soul, I cradled this book and when I was finished I didn’t want to put it down.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My book, Once a Year, By Charlotte Rose, is something very close to my heart, It took me about five years to write as it was unfolding with my own journey. The story, Once a Year is inspired by my own life, I would say it’s 50% reality, 50% fiction. My book was originally a self help diary, a way of me coping in a difficult time of my life, allowing me to express my emotions. I never planned for Once a Year to be a book, let alone being published to the world! What gave me the push to publish Once a Year, was my passion to help other young people, who are struggling with similar issues, to be their hand to hold.

Once a year is for the people who have been bullied, have dyslexia, have suffered a broken heart, have had low self esteem and a poor body image, for the ones who have fell into the wrong crowds and felt trapped. For the people who have been told they can’t, you can! I suffer with dyslexia, writing a book was never something I could achieve, but guess who proved them wrong.

Delphine is sassy, fierce, and loyal to her friends. She goes on holiday ‘once a year’ to a beautiful Greek island where she meets Nikos a handsome and witty Greek boy. Each year, the chemistry between them is intense and intoxicating, full of promise and passion.

When she returns home, it’s like she doesn’t exist. Nikos ignores her messages and leaves her feeling empty and hurt.

Delphine begins spiralling downhill, suffering from panic attacks and blackouts. She starts making bad decisions and the worst part is, she can’t remember most of it happening. She refuses to believe or recognise she is depressed.

Delphine’s best friends, Kirstein, Brad and Carl, try their best to make her happy. Can they reach her before something dreadful happens?

Will Nikos reciprocate her love or is love closer to home and Delphine just can’t see it?

Featured Interview With D.A. Lee

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I am a Bangladeshi-born British writer, author and poet best known for my Novel ‘Written’ published in Dec 2019. Raised in a northern town in Lancashire I grew up with hills in front of me and a world of wonder beyond it.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I first started writing at the age of six or seven, I had always dreamed of writing a book and even had a lofty goal of writing an encyclopedia! Of course, that didn’t eventuate. I faced a lot of trauma as a child and my best friend was an imaginary one. With her, I could do anything, be anyone.

My parents didn’t always have the means to buy a lot of books so I used to invent stories for my siblings at bedtime. In my later life writing became my only place to put the haunts of childhood behind me, it was then I found the courage to write and it is how after 16 years I came to publish my first book.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Khaled Housseini’s, Kite Runner. I love this book so much that I have read it 3 or 4 times.
Arundhati Roy: The God of All Small Things. She writes so beautifully, it was one of my first literary books that I had read and had inspired me to write more.
Maya Angelou: ‘I know why the caged bird sings.’ I could relate to this book, I have found that Maya’s words of courage always helped me overcome my fears of pushing through to the end goals.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My book is a novel about a little girl who has been told that her whole life has already been written and that she has no choice but to honour and accept her parents’ plans for her.

The word ‘Written’ is the title of the book and a poignant theme throughout the book, it’s a word that is often expressed culturally to describe the notion of determinism and predestination adopted by most traditional Muslim families as a common explanation for events in life. The book takes you on a journey through the main character Eleanor, a young girl caught between a web of family secrets and lies where she comes into conflict with these values.

The book is about honour, love, face and the choices women end up making to withhold the family name, it takes you through wreckage it leaves behind and discusses the cultural issues associated with marriage, domestic violence, mental abuse and misogyny.

Featured Author Sarah Neofield

Featured Interview With Sarah Neofield

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I grew up in regional South Australia before living in Japan for a year. Always fascinated by language, I completed a PhD in applied linguistics in 2010. At the age of 30, I resigned from my position as a university lecturer to travel, and have since visited over 60 countries.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have always been fascinated by books. In kindergarten, I used to stay inside and make books while everyone else was playing outdoors, and by the age of five, I knew I wanted to be an author. I’ve never really stopped writing, but I got back into creative writing around six or seven years ago.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I love reading books that are funny, that make me think, and especially, both. Catch-22 is a great example of this – one of the few books that managed to make me both laugh out loud and shed real tears. I also enjoy books by Margaret Atwood, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, PG Wodehouse, George Orwell and so many more. Satire is my favourite genre, but it’s not so easy to find!

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My debut novel, Number Eight Crispy Chicken, follows the misadventures of an immigration minister stranded in a foreign airport. From conception to publication, it took three years almost to the day. I began writing Number Eight Crispy Chicken while stuck in an airport myself, and when I thought about what character I could place in this situation, who might learn and grow based on the experience, an immigration minister who has made a career out of locking up asylum seekers sprang to mind:

The immigration minister has been detained.
Minister for Asylum Deterrence and Foreign Investment, Peter Ruddick, is en route to the remote Pulcherrima Island, the site of his latest privately-run, fast food chain-inspired detention centre. But chaos ensues when Peter misses his connecting flight and finds himself confined to the visa-free zone of the Turgrael airport, without a business lounge in sight.

Stranded in a foreign territory with nothing but McKing’s Crispy Chicken burgers to eat and nobody but a bleeding heart liberal, his seat-mate Jeremy Bernard for company, Peter’s misunderstandings of Turgistani language and culture result in his arrest on suspicion of terrorism, perversion, and espionage. Peter has always had the power to get away with just about anything, but how will he sweet talk his way out of this one? What if he winds up – like those in his centres – indefinitely detained?
‘Hilarious’ and ‘powerful’, Number Eight Crispy Chicken is a carefully researched, funny, and thought-provoking read for fans of the social novels of Tressell, Orwell, Dickens, and Vonnegut.

Featured Interview With Annemarie Musawale

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I’m a single mom, born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya where I still live. I have a German Shephard named Misty.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I was in kindergarten when I started reading and being an introvert, it was a great way to pass the time. I think it was about the same time that I started writing. I would write a story and show it to my mom. She’d read it and tell me, ‘Very Good’. I liked that. So I would write another story.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I am currently waiting patiently for Book 9 of the Outlander Series. Diana Gabaldon says it’s coming out soon. She taught me how to write love. J.K. Rowling taught me how to write a series. I believe she’s a genius. I also love Maria Doria Russell because she’s the first author I read who incorporated African characters into the world of their stories and treated us like we exist as more than just charity cases.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is the fifth book of my Child of Destiny series. It’s written in both third and first person. the first person narrative is the voice of the ‘child’ who is currently a baby. It’ll be out on Valentine’s Day God willing. You should catch up on the other four books if you want to preorder. They cover the gamut from thriller to erotica, paranormal to mystery.

Featured Author Ann Musico

Featured Interview With Ann Musico

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I am a New York girl, born and raised! I was born in Queens. We moved to Rockland County when I was 14. I went to Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School right after graduating high school and worked for 11 years as a secretary first at a spice company and then as a legal secretary until I got married and moved to Tennessee with my husband. We had our two boys in Tennessee and then moved back to New York and had our daughter. We still live in the mid-Hudson Valley. We had a wonderful dog when we first got married. Scrappy was half wolf (verified by the vet) and was the most wonderful pet with our children. He died at the age of 10. While we never did get another dog, all our kids are married and have families of their own. Two have dogs, Mari a Jack Russel mix and Minnie, also a mix, we see and dog-sit regularly.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I don’t ever remember a time when I didn’t love writing! I have always journaled and one of my favorite gifts is always a fresh, clean, brand new notebook of any kind! As a 6th grade elementary school student I used to take care of the kindergarteners while the teacher was on a break. I loved writing stories to read to them as well as reading books in the classroom. This has been a lifelong love.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I tend to look at nonfiction, health oriented and Christian faith books as I am a certified holistic health coach. I love reading new information and learning things I didn’t know and can use in my own life, to help my family and clients. I have always loved reading. I am never without a book in progress! Some of my favorite authors are T.D. Jakes, Jessica and Nick Ortner, Dr. Caroline Leaf, Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Joseph Mercola, Kenneth Copeland just to name a few. They inspire me to stretch my understanding of spiritual and physical/health knowledge and beliefs.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book, Today is Still the Day, is an updated version of my first book. Ask anyone when they will begin a diet and usually the answer is, tomorrow. Well I believe today is always the right day! This book is a DIY version of my 7 week coaching plan of the same name. Anyone that wants to clean up their diet, eat more healthfully and release that excess fat, this book walks you through the plan and gives you background to explain why I suggest what I do. It is not a diet. It is what I consider a blueprint, a framework you can adjust and tweak to fit your specific needs and metabolic makeup. One size never fits all that is one reason why most diets fail. Being too limited or restrictive is another reason. In this plan, which is clearly laid out in the book, we focus on real, high quality, one-ingredient foods in a form as close to how God created them. Quality is the most important factor in my opinion, particularly with our compromised food supply. The book also addresses spirit and soul (mind, will, emotion) issues which are often overlooked when dealing with weight loss. We are triune beings: we are spirits who have a soul (mind, will, emotions – personality) and we live in a physical body. I do not believe you can ignore any one aspect of your being and be truly healthy and whole.

Featured Interview With Elizabeth N. Harris

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born in Dagenham, Essex but moved to Doncaster in 2002 and then to Chesterfield in 2005. I prefer living in the country compared to the city or town. I like to look out of my back door and see green fields and trees. I have five children, four boys and a girl and seven cats! Yes, seven!

I love reading, I think that comes hand in hand with writing. I sew, knit, quilt and embroider. I love and adore dragons. Although based in the UK, I love the NFL, MLB and NHL. I’m not keen on soccer or basketball!

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I was reading books from the age of two. My mother was alarmed by that fact. This continued through my life, a great love of books. At one point my parents were called to the school after I read five books in a day and the school thought my parents were pushing me. I was only seven at the time. My mother still laughs at the tantrum that ensued when they tried to ban me from the school library. At twelve/thirteen I began writing and haven’t stopped since. I’ve only just decided to publish now, inspired by the song This is Me.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favourite authors vary from Raymond E Feist to Anne Rice to Karen Marie Moning to Kristen Ashley. I read a variety of books and genres. I love the Star Wars books and adore the Morganville Vampires. If a book catches my interest it doesn’t matter what genre it belongs to.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
The latest book is Oakwood Manor. I’ve toyed with what happens when someone dies before their time. This book is about Daniel Harrington who was murdered in 1715. He has chased every heir from his home Oakwood Manor and doesn’t intend to share it. Then Sabine comes along and upsets his well-ordered life. She’s as stubborn as he is and just as able to play pranks on him as he does her. The smurf scene is pretty funny. The questions that arise are many, do they solve his death? What happened to his friends? Where is his beloved sister?

Do they solve them or not? You’ll have to read to find out!

Featured Interview With Camille Cabrera

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised in sunny California. My two pets and full-time coworkers (I write from home) are two playful cats. Los Angeles always called to me so I have traveled and discovered new places, but in the end I always find my way back home.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I loved books since before I could really read. My mom would sit up with me at bedtime and read me stories from gorgeous picture books. I remember desperately wanting to read so that I could know what happened in a story without having to ask her. Once I learned to read the rest is really history since my love for the written word only grew over time.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Some of my favorite writers are Agatha Christie, Carolyn Keene, and William Shakespeare. I suppose it’s no surprise that I love to read mystery novels and books full of suspense. The more complex and unpredictable the plot… the better. Every book that has caught my attention has in some way helped to inspire and expand my writing horizons. Reading works from great authors helps to expand my view of humanity and challenge my perceptions both as a person and as a writer.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
Seven friends set out on a Fourth of July vacation that soon becomes sinister. Paranoia in the group runs high after they hear about the successful cloning of Dolly the Sheep. But is 1996 the first time an animal has been successfully cloned or the first time that the public finds out about the success of cloning? Friendships are tested and motives come into question when a member of the group begins to act differently after adventuring on the island. The situation of once unfounded paranoia spirals into actual terror when people start to go missing.

When it’s almost the millennium… reality is scarier than science fiction.

Featured Interview With Kristy Brown

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I’m Born and raised in the UK, a small town in North East Lincolnshire. I have two teenage sons, who separately are amazing!

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I was a child and I remember my reading The Magic Finger to my grandad. I stumbled into acting as a teen and went on to university to study it. I lost my passion for the stage eventually, and rekindled my love of reading. At 30 my first son was born. Whilst he took naps, I started writing short stories, one of which turned into Kiera’s Quest. Kiera was my first published book aimed at 8+.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Favourite authors include J.K Rowling, obvious I know, but it was Harry Potter that stimulated me to write. I love YA, even though I’m no longer A Young Adult on the outside, my mind still is!
Paranormal Romance/ fantasy and Contemporary authors such as Lauren Kate, Becca Fitzpatrick, Jennifer Armentrout, Kiera Cass, Cassandra Clare, John Green, Nicola Yoon… I could go on.
Every book I read inspires me! I often get book envy and wish I’d written certain stories. I have another eight books in mind, and feel quite blessed that my imagination is so active 🙂

Tell us a little about your latest book?
I’m on my ninth. The latest book series is a YA Paranormal Romance trilogy. The first is SUMMER’S END.
Summer’s End

She wakes up in hospital, badly burned with no memory.

He’s been trained to kill her before she burns the world to ashes.

When they finally meet, will he be able to take her life now that he’s started to

feel for her?

His fate is already written.

The prophecy is already set…

Love between them is forbidden.

I saw the lead male in a dream and woke up knowing I had to write him. Alex has become my imaginary crush. I wrote him, and it’s weird, yet wonderful that I have to share him!
Summer is the misunderstood wall-flower with a huge secret, that she doesn’t even know she’s hiding. The story is a puzzle that by the end, hopefully fits together.
Summer’s End took a year to write and it’s published with Muse It Up Publishing. Book two SUMMER’S LOST, has just been released.
It’s written in first person in two points of view. I really wanted to let the reader get inside their heads.

Featured Interview With Lillian and Dave Brummet

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My husband and I met and married almost 30 years ago and currently reside in our dream location of the Kootenay region of BC Canada. In the last 10 years we have been busy transforming the home to a more eco-friendly one and converting the property from a rental-like yard to a beautiful garden oasis. Our business, BrummetMedia.ca, acts like an umbrella where we offer a host of services, products and books. Besides gardening and the realm of writing/reading, I have a huge passion for rescued pets and love hosting doggie play dates or puppy sitting while neighbours and friends are travelling. We currently share our home with 2 dogs and a cat… Skyla is 12 and may not be around much longer, sadly, Duchess is not too far behind Skyla in age… Korma kitty is just 6 years old. The dogs love to hang out on the deck and they adore their park-like yard and gardens.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I was a writer long before I knew it. My mom was a regular at libraries and I could often be found in tow carrying my own stack of books. My first story brought a teacher to tears as she read it out to the class and I was taken back by the attention and the effect it had. It kinda scared me, actually. Later on I found solace in poetry, expressing the hidden pain from the childhood trauma and youthful angst… and when that poetry was accepted and celebrated, I realized that hey – maybe there’s something to this writing thing. It wasn’t until a car accident woke me up to the disappointing tragedy of my life that I became committed to making a difference, to giving back, to have meaning in my life and to give some reason to my existence. Thus, the writing in the genres I have chosen – poetry, living “green”, eco-farming/gardening, and the arts.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
To get away from life and explore new imaginations, I will dive into fiction and relish every word. To understand self and expand compassion, I turn to poetry. However, I’m big on learning… it turns me on… so at least half of my shelves at home have non-fiction titles.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
Dave and I have collaborated on 6 published books and one coming up soon. The latest publication is a collection of our poetry… Dave has his own section in the book – called Rhythm and Rhyme – here you can see our individual poetry writing styles and find us expressing passions for nature, love, animals, music and real life experiences including the loss of family members.

Featured Interview With Lali A. Love

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I launched my award-winning, debut novel “Heart of a Warrior Angel” on July 31, 2019. I like to write supernatural thrillers of metaphysical and visionary fantasy with my own revolutionary philosophy and unique narrative skills to produce this heart-wrenching and gripping tale.

I live in the capital city of Canada with my husband and two beautiful children who are my greatest source of pride, joy, and inspiration. As a debut author, I enjoy creating stimulating, character-based novels that invoke an emotional response in my readers. I have done extensive research into epistemology and metaphysics to further my understanding of the Universal Laws of Energy.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have always been fascinated with the magical powers of books, even as a younger child. It was a great escape into other fantasy worlds and dimensions. I began writing my novel four years ago, as I embarked on my own journey of healing and self-discovery.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I love reading thrillers, suspense, mysteries, and any book that keeps me on the edge. My favourite authors vary from Stephen King, Tolstoy, Dan Brown to VC Andrews and Danielle Steele. Around 5 years ago, I was reading Matt Kahn’s book “Whatever arises, Love that” which triggered my awakening process and inspired my writing. I also began learning how to meditate by following Deepak Chopra’s 21-day challenge on YouTube, and I found that I was really intrigued by the whole notion of metaphysics, quantum physics and the study of reality. I loved Eckhart Tolle’s book “A New Earth,” which really resonated with me. Deepak Chopra’s book “You Are the Universe” and “You Are the Placebo” by Dr. Joe Dispenza have been instrumental in my quest for knowledge and understanding that has inspired the visionary fiction component of my book. It takes a community, I guess! I’m still on the path of learning and increasing my awareness, so more books to come!

Tell us a little about your latest book?
I began writing “Heart of a Warrior Angel: From Darkness to Light” about four years ago. Since this is my first novel, I took the time to capture the essence of the plot and character arcs. It is a visionary thriller with metaphysical fantasy and a dash of the supernatural. I provide unique narrative skills to produce this emotionally invoking, heart-wrenching and gripping tale of an incarnated angel’s journey to self-actualization, her family’s rise from poverty, oppression and abuse.

The main character, Lilac Noble, must face the traumatic experiences of her childhood before she can conquer the dark entities that have wreaked havoc on her family. On this epic journey, Lilac undergoes the destructive process of spiritual enlightenment in order to lift the veil of darkness and shame that has obscured her youth. As Lilac unlocks painful memories of abuse, suppressed in her subconscious from years of fear-based conditioning, she uncovers menacing secrets feeding the evil within her generational bloodline. In an attempt to vanquish the sinister energies, Lilac finds the courage to discover her inner truth, vulnerability, and authenticity, as she awakens her divine light and overcomes her debilitating fears of the past. Lilac’s unconditional love for her family guides her through her process of healing and transformation, fuelling her instinct for survival and her burning desire to illuminate the world.

Spanning two continents and three generations, this inspirational novel portrays the best and worst of humanity and shows how the “tiniest spark of light can overcome the darkness of any magnitude,” through forgiveness, compassion, and the most powerful force in the universe – Love.

Featured Interview With Tim Richardson

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised in a small town called Sackville, New Brunswick, which too often gets confused with a suburb of Halifax. I moved to Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 16. I have been in the finance industry for 25+ years and have had a tremendously humbling career.
For 43 years, my ‘WHY’ was money. I woke up one day and realized that I had all the money I needed and was the least happiest person I had ever been. I decided it was time to re-tool my life. I lost 75 lbs, stopped smoking and drinking and truly focused on self-improvement. I work every day at my relationships with family, friends and work colleagues. All I want it to make the world a better place.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
Surprisingly, I never read a book its in entirety in my life. I started reading at age 43, which is where I gained all the knowledge I needed to re-tool things in my life. The only books I read as an adult were the books I used to study for my investment licensing.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My main focus on the books that I read are about leadership and being a better person. I often find myself referring back to specific chapters when I’m struggling with something or trying to help someone. There are too many titles that I love to name.
‘Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway” by Susan Jefferson was the book that changed my life.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My book is comprised of bits and pieces of all the books I have read throughout my adult life that stuck with me. As I continued to read, I would write down the things that stuck with me. And then I would apply them to my life and test the methods. So I thought to myself, “why not write a book about it?”. Now, all my knowledge is in one place and I have a legacy written for my kids.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I live in the Netherlands, grew up on a farm for the first 8 years of my life. When we moved out to the town I still live in now, I got two turtles from my parents. They’re red-eared sliders, one of them is still with me. He’s not alone though, I rescued two others and those have kept him company for over twenty years now.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I got my fascination for reading real early thanks to my father. He had and still has, shelves and shelves of books. I started reading them when I was young and only years after did I go to the library to get more books.

Writing took me longer. I actually came into that through fanfiction. That opened my eyes, that writing was something a lot of people did. Silly in hindsight, I know.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite genres are fantasy and science fiction, if we are talking fiction. But I also read a lot of non-fiction about historical subjects.

As for favorite authors, got to go with Robert Jordan if we’re talking fantasy. With science fiction, I’m torn between David Weber or Jack Campbell.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
The Living Sword 2 – The Road Ahead took me a lot longer to write than I planned; several years more. The ending especially, I just wasn’t sure I could do my vision justice. But I think I succeeded in the end and the book is better for the extra time it took.

The story is about Eurik and Leraine and their growing friendship. Eurik is looking to find out who his parents were. Leraine has to bring home the news that her teacher, a woman that made her the warrior she is, died.

It’s not a safe journey, they’re traveling through some rough country with people that are rough themselves. And there’s a war brewing right in their path.

If you want to know more, you’ll have to read the book.

Waltz in Swing Time (launch date of April 23, 2020 with Black Rose Writing) is a historical novel set on a farm in nineteen-thirties Utah. Irene Larsen copes with her family’s hardship by playing piano. Even when tragedy strikes, she clings to her dream of becoming a musician. Clashing with her mother, who dismisses her ambition as frivolous, Irene leaves home. Featured Interview With Isaac Rubio

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born in Colombia on May 31, 1987. Since I was a child, I was interested in art and literature, so I decided to study illustration at the Barranquilla District Academy of Arts.
Also, my passion has always been to create stories and convey emotions to people, which is why I love my work in film and TV because I can exploit my skills as a creator and artist.

I started working as an Illustrator in renowned advertising agencies such as Leo Burnett and Lowe SSP3 and then continue as an animator in animation studios in Bogota. Quickly my work became known in various international companies and I had the opportunity to work on projects for Cartoon Network such as the animated series “Gemini8”, by TV Pinguim, Brazil, “Les p´tits diables”, “Les sisters” by Studio Redfrog, France, and the video game “Royal defenders” of Dena, Japan, among others.

My work as an Illustrator has been recognized in the book “Pictoria3: The best contemporary Illustrators worldwide” and I have been a key piece as a Lead animator in large audiovisual productions such as “Dr. Ruth”, “Floyd Norman: an animated life” and “Sonic mania adventures. ”

In 2015 I wrote with Michelle Giraldo, the children’s book series “My Little Piggy” and I currently live in the city of Los Angeles, CA with my wife and 4-year-old daughter.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
Since I was 5 years old, I have been passionate about picture books, comics, universal literature, history books, fantasy, etc. This combined with my love for art made me want to become storytelling. My school notebooks were always full of stories and drawings, which is why I decided to immerse myself in the world of animation in the early years of my adolescence.

I was fascinated by the magic of cinema, and being part of every production process, from the scripting process, storyboarding to animation.

Over time, my habits have not changed, although I work as a Lead animator in the Hollywood industry, my notebooks are full of numerous stories and scripts.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
It is very difficult to answer this question, I’m passionate about all kinds of genres, fiction, nonfiction, biographies, history, thrillers. I have a lot of appreciation and admiration for writers like Michael Ende, Rafael Pombo, and Gabriel G. Marquez.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
Finance is a topic, for parents, complicated to explain their children.
In addition, the issue of money for young children is full of taboos because we think they are not yet ready to handle it. This is why my wife Michelle Giraldo and I decided to create the collection of “My Little Piggy” books, fun and fanciful stories about money, which explain the importance of money in society, origin and some basic financial concepts, not forgetting the basic principles of our society such as love, friendship, and teamwork that are key to healthy and responsible growth.
