Featured Interview With Suilyaniz Cintron
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My name is Suilyaniz, I’m 27, the oldest of four siblings and was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I live in my hometown of Ponce and yes I have various pets which include three dogs, two birds and two fishes. Apart from writing I enjoy watching silent and classic film’s, reading voraciously, listening to rock music and working on my YouTube channel. I am also a lover of history.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have always been fascinated with books and I credit my mom with that because she made sure to instill in both me and my younger sister a love of reading, buying us books since we were little. I started writing at age twelve, short stories at first and then I began with novels.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Some of my favorite authors include Lisa See, Betty Smith, J.K Rowling, the Bronte sisters, Charles Dickens and Francine Rivers. My favorite genre is Historical Romance. I am not particularly inspired by one person in my writings but by various of the great authors of classic novels.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My novel is called Windswept, it took two years to write and is a romance set in Edwardian Era England. It tells the love story of James Thomas and Magdalena Williams, a stunningly beautiful girl who leads a terrible life of abuse and forced slavery under the roof of her stepmother ( A woman who was actually married to her father before her birth), and half-sister. The novel begins in 1891 with Magdalena’s mother and ends in 1917. But I will not give much more away because there is a sequel which follows.
