Featured Interview With Sarah Gilbert
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised in Aloha, Oregon; currently reside in Beaverton with the love of my life, Saul Roberts and our two Guinea Pigs, Hobbs and Chewie.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I fell in love with reading the same time I did with cooking, at age 12.
I wrote short stories and poems in school, finally started writing cookbooks in 2019.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I love a good thriller or mystery. My favorite author is Nicholas Sparks.
I have too many cooks that inspire me every day to just name one! Paula Deen, Ree Drummond, Gordon Ramsay, Wolfgang Puck.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My newest book is Mexican American Cantina – a mix of authentic Mexican recipes along with Tex Mex and American twists on Mexican classics.
There are some easy and fun appetizers in this book along with entrees, quick drinks and yummy desserts the whole family will love!
