Featured Interview With Renee Marski
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I grew up in central FL raised by my dad who is a history teacher and my mom, who works for county office. I joined the Navy out of high school and served four years. I met my husband while in the Navy and we are currently stationed in Texas. I have two dogs, a husky and a lab, and a foster pitbull.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have been writing since I can remember. My third grade teacher took one of my stories and “published” it for me by binding it with cardboard to make a hard copy. The first story I remember being really serious about was my Hercules fan fiction based on the TV show at the time starring Kevin Sorbo. Reading has always been something I loved and I read anything I can get my hands on.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite genre is sci-fy. My favorite authors are J.R. Tolkein and Rick Riordian. I also enjoy Mary Higgins Clark. I love reading mysteries as well.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is a murder mystery about a high school senior who moves to a new town and discovers a tragic event that has been haunting it for the last four years. Coming from a family of police officers, she decides to try to solve the case herself, while dealing with school, boys, and a sister who won’t communicate.
