Featured Interview With Peter Ralph
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised in the great city of Melbourne, Australia and still live there. It’s been voted the most livable city in the world on countless occasions and (in my opinion) is the sporting capital of the world. Right now I don’t have any pets but I’m a dog lover and get to walk and play with friends’ dogs regularly.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I always had a fascination with books but only started writing novels about ten years ago. In my business life I’d been CEO of a public company and before that a consultant to Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young). I’d done an awful lot of writing…just not novels.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
John Grisham has influenced me more than any other author. He is a wonderful story teller and The Firm is one of the all-time great novels. Stephen King has an unbelievable imagination and is a fine writer. The plots in The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption were amazing. Andrew Rule is an Australian author who has a wonderful way with words. His latest book, The Boy From Nowhere, the true story of a poor boy who left school at 14 and who is now a multi-billionaire television and property mogul is a must read. Finally, I enjoy James Patterson, but I don’t have him in the same league as the other three.
I love reading legal and business novels.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
Revenge Of The CEO is a follow up to The CEO but both are standalone novels. Revenge Of The CEO tells the story of a corrupt and despicable businessman who’s been too smart for the law, but is framed by two of the people he has hurt. Sentenced to 20 years in Changi he eventually finds a way to escape and vows to wreak vengeance on his enemies and those who framed him.
