Featured Interview With Nicola Jane
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
Hi, I’m Nicola Jane. I was born and raised in Nottingham, England. I still live here today. I’m married (15 years this month) and I have two children. Noth boys, aged 15 & 11. I have 4 dogs, yes 4!! But they are all female so I’m not so outnumbered with the men in the house.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have loved books since primary school. I’m not sure if I was a toddler that loved books, I’ll have to ask my mother lol but I remember being around 8 years old and my most favourite teacher (Mr Lamb) didn’t bother reading us baby stories, he read us The Hobbit lol I remember loving this story so much that it got me reading. I loved books with adventures like Famous Five and Secret Seven. I was also a huge fan of Flat Stanley and Mrs Pepperpot.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I have so many Authors that I love but I generally stick to Authors that I’ve never heard of lol If I like the book cover I read the synopsis and then if it’s my sort of book I’ll download. I really enjoy Authors such as E.L James, I was one of the Fifty Shades lovers. I also love Sylvia Day, her Crossfire series was amazing. I’m also big into MC romance so Authors such as Tillie Cole are also on my favourite list. I think I’ve been inspired by so many Authors, known and not so known. I was 13 when I first began to write so any book I’ve read along the way has inspired me in one way or another.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is an MC romance book. It’s about a woman looking for work and she ends up being offered a job as a nanny for a Club President’s nephew. She doesn’t really understand club life and often annoys Cooper, the Pres, in some way or form. Eventually, they get together but love does not run smoothly!
