Featured Interview With Neisha Sibley
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I am a 27 year old Christian young lady who loves God, food and music. I am passionate about seeing young people serve God and that was one of the reasons I wrote this book.
Other reasons includes being obedient to God about sharing my story despite how vulnerable it made me feel. I also wrote this book to encourage others; people who have been through or are currently going through struggles, hurt, disappointment, and dire lack all while serving God and holding true to His promises. Some elements of this book shows mistakes we make as Christians in the way we perceive God, giving up on ministry because of criticisms from others, financially struggling through college but adamant about breaking generational curses among other trials. The name of my book is The Unveiling: Trials, Tragedies and Transitions of a Child of God.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have been reading since I was about 3 years old. I've always loved books and I especially loved writing. I would write on walls, in my siblings textbooks, just about everywhere. Like most kids, I was drawn to books based on their illustrations. As I grew older I realized I had a fascination about biology and so I would always be reading about the body and/or nutrition. Over the years I would read academic books, religious books and today I am author of my first book; The Unveiling: Trials, Tragedies and Transitions of a Child of God.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Some of my favourite authors are John Ramirez, Sarah Jakes Roberts, Jennifer LeClaire, Shanique Shand etc.
