Featured Interview With Mitta Xinindlu
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I’m Mitta Xinindlu, a writer born in South Africa. I’m a versatile writer. No genre has managed to pin me down thus far. Currently I live in France. Learning French has been an exciting challenge. I mean that I’m enjoying it. Actually, I believe that to be an efficient writer, one must be able to write in more than one language. I know over seven languages. My brain mixes-up the languages sometimes. And it makes me appear like I don’t know how to speak. It’s fun (for the listeners, I suppose).
I’m an animal lover too; I have had a couple of dogs in my life. Dogs are like children …always happy and in the mood to play.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
As early as primary school. They made us write stories, and here I am today, a writer. Voilà.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I’m a fan of non-fiction books. As much as I am a writer, I care mostly about what we’re really dealing with as a society.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is called Lessons from Toddlers. It’s a workbook with inspirational messages. It’s a fun and easy journal that I created for parents. It’s like a mini-diary in which a parent gets to reminisce about the toddler stage of their children.
