Featured Interview With Mike Lord
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born just before all hell broke loose for World War 2. After the war my father stayed in the RAF and was posted with us to Singapore, and then later boarding school in the UK.
I live now in a provincial city in Vietnam.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
My job included writing reports, and I wrote my first book when living in Sri Lanka. My house was on the edge of a coconut plantation.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I often had to spend long hours on flights so I used to buy books that would last me up to twelve hours. I found George MacDonald Fraser and Chris Ryan in airport bookshops. Chris Ryan was just exciting, but George MacDonald Fraser rang a bell as his books were often set in remote parts of the world where I had lived and worked.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
I’m in a bit of a lull at the moment, putting together three books in a Box Set, and also revising and republishing some books as result. My pen name is Adam Mann.
