Featured Interview With Melisa Ruscsak
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised in Lorain, Ohio. Graduated from the local high school and joint vocational school. Currently I live in a old farm house with my husband and daughter. We raise poultry of all kinds as pets. Plus our dogs, cat and hamster.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
Growing up I despised reading anything and it wasn’t until I had my daughter that I started to read. At the time of her birth I was out of work due to medical complications so I didn’t have money to buy new books for her. So my remedy was reading old encyclopedia’s to her. We got through the letter “E” before I bought her first book. “Baby Loves”.
It didn’t take me long to figure out that she liked longer stories. Luckily I had most of the books that were purchased for me throughout my school years. By kindergarten I was buying myself books to read something that wasn’t a fairy tale.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Since I now read from all different genre from historical fiction to sci-fantasy I have many authors that are my go to books. Such as Anne Bishop, Catherine Asaro, and Philippa Gregory.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My current Book “Of Lite and Darke” Follows Princess Nisha as she comes to her homeland where she is to rule. Not even a day after being there she realizes everything that she knew about her parents death had been a lie. With the help of he betrothed and cousin they slowly start to piece together what is real and what historical facts had been changed.
