Featured Interview With M.J. Feinauer
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
In 1983, I moved from the beautiful state of Michigan, where I was raised, to the equally beautiful state of Georgia, northeast of Atlanta. It was here that I began my professional career in manufacturing. In 2016 while watching news coverage of the presidential race; I was struck with the thought of a storyline that could possibly happen “Behind the Scenes” of a presidential campaign. The more I entertained the thought, the more the story began to evolve.
At present, I have one novel that has been recently published. It’s called Neptune’s Chalice.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I can’t say I have ever been fascinated with a book. It wasn’t until the later years of my professional manufacturing career, that I turned to reading as a part of my “break” from work. It helped me get through the day and allowed me to set my mind free from the rigors of work.
I guess my own creative juices began to flow over time. It was then, that I created a story of my own.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I love a well written suspenseful fiction novel. My favorite author is Dan Brown. I have been influenced by books such as…
Marathon Man by William Goldman
Three Days of the Condor by James Grady
Inferno and Angels & Demons by Dan Brown
Occasionally, I like to read historical books.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
It is the mid-twenty first century. The world is recovering from what scholars will refer to as the “Jihad War”.
Nations of the world united to bring a permanent end to radical terrorism. The unification of the nations has also given birth to the popular concept of a governing “World Union”, in which the United States intends to be a major player. The timing could not be any better. A presidential election year is on the horizon and a faceless rouge element is committed to having one of their own in the White House.
Unwittingly, the young couple, Kai Rivers and Zoey Volkova are thrust into the dark complicated struggle for political power.
With the last name of Volkova, which in Russian means “Wolf”, Zoey discovers she is stronger than she or those who want to silence her could have ever imagined.
