Featured Interview With Lorelle Taylor
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I grew up just north of Brisbane, Australia, but moved to the United Kingdom a couple of years ago, with my husband and our Doberman.
As well as writing spiritual books, I enjoy posting a daily angel card reading. I am also an advocate for animal and environmental welfare.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have undertaken formal and informal studies of religion and spirituality, learning from spiritual teachers in the physical world and the spiritual realm.
In a similar fashion to the character in my books, my experiences with spiritual beings started late in life. These experiences, and the love they introduced me to, took some getting used to. In order to help others who may be experiencing their own spiritual awakening, I wrote my first book: Getting Used to Weird: A Very Different Sort of Love Story, which details the tools I learned.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My books were inspired by all of the spiritual teachers from whom I learned, particularly Neale Donald Walsch, with his Conversations with God books. I have learned from many others, such as Abraham and Esther Hicks, Eckhart Tolle, and Sonia Choquette.
Although I have read a lot of spiritual books, I also enjoy reading novels. These days I look for ones which are uplifting rather than depressing or frightening.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My second book, WE ARE ONE, gives God’s perspective on Islam, Christianity, Judaism and Buddhism and expands on lessons learned in Getting Used to Weird.
My third book, Messages from the Light, is a channeled book, with messages from the angels and God. These messages are aimed at helping us move towards the New Earth, where love rules, peace reigns and everyone is treated with respect.
