Featured Interview With LATESHA KELLAM
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised in Connecticut, however I was born in Maryland. I moved back to Maryland for a while in my late 20s but after my mother became sick, I moved back to Connecticut where I currently reside. I don’t have any pets, but I recently applied to foster a dog.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have always loved to read since I was old enough to open a book. I was reading to my sister’s 5th grade class when I was in the 1st grade. I started writing seriously when I was 14 years old after my father passed away suddenly.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite authors to read are James Patterson, Nora Roberts, Danielle Steel and Dean Koontz.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
You Don’t Want to Get Married is about two lovers who couldn’t be more different. They encounter problems in their relationship that stem from mistrust and family meddling. They love each other but are having a really hard time navigating the constant relationship trials that they keep encountering.
The book took about 7 months to write and is book 1 of a 3 book series.
