Featured Interview With Kim Morris
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
Kim Morris is the author of Tears I Shed and the sequel Tears I Shed 2: The Silent Words of my Heart. She earned a BA degree in English from Arkansas State University. Her poems “Raising Sons” was featured in the October 2010 issue of Forge Journal and “In Memory Of” was the Poetry Buzz Thursday feature for Nita Bee’s Blog Post.
In her spare time, Kim is an avid reader and basketball fan. She is working on her third book. Kim was born and raised in Elaine, AR. She currently resides in Jonesboro, Arkansas with her family.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I realized my fascination with books around six years old. I started writing poetry in the 5th grade.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite authors to read are Kimberla Lawson Roby, E. Lynn Harris, Tracy Bateman, Brenda Jackson and John Grisham are just a few. My favorite genre would be urban. I get inspiration from many authors because I still read across genres and have so many authors in which I look up to.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book Tears I Shed 2: The Silent Words of My Heart is the sequel to Tears I Shed. It continues the story of friends who endure and overcome the many obstacles that life sometimes throw in our paths.
