Featured Interview With ken mackenzie
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I grew up on Sydney’s Northern beaches in the seventies and eighties and moved with my wife and children to the Mid North Coast of NSW in 2004. We now live on a farm at Mt Seaview, West of Port Macquarie, where we are surrounded by my many pets, too many to name I’ve worked in the Security Industry for over thirty years, in pubs and clubs. The last twenty seven years I’ve driven armoured cars.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I found my interest in books at around ten or eleven and started writing with letters to overseas companies for information on there products, war figurines and such.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Phillip Kerr is probably my favorite author, especially his character Bernie Gunther. Peter Corris is another I love reading, his books are unique. Fiction, Non-Fiction and erotica are my go.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
, My latest book to come out soon is entitled “No More Bets” Zeus Publications are my publisher, they have produced my last five erotic/crime fiction novels. It’s set in contemporary times with the main protagonist Steven James Forbes, career criminal up to his old tricks. Steve’s appeared in four of my novels. He’s a psychopath mixed up with a bunch of other bad boys Craig Johnson an ex Detective NSW sergeant ready. Oktay Saglam, a Turkish Spook and Solly Dundas, President of the Outlaw Motor Bike Gang the Animals. The four are set to pull of a big rort that could make them all very rich, or very dead if Steve’s sudden feud with an old associate Benny the Leb over a woman doesn’t cause big problems for the gang. It’s fast paced full of action, often making you wonder who is friend and who is foe.
