Featured Interview With Julie sanford.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
At thirty-eight I’m a product of the very late 70s. My parents were bearly adults themselves when I was born, they where eighteen and nineteen. Now with children of my own I am all to aware of how daunting that must have been for them.
Born in the london borough of Barking and Dagenham, I’m the eldest of three girls. My parents, sisters and I are very close.
Educated to GCSE level I left school at sixteen.
I am twice married, My first husband was twenty years my senior and we have three children together.
My second husband was an old school friend. Once reunited we had three children together along side his own three children. So, now I find myself a stay at home mother to six plus three step children ranging from age sixteen to three. If that wasn’t enough dependents I also have a dog and three pet rats.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I discovered my local library aged nine, finding a life long love for books. Cutting my teeth on when Hitler stole pink rabbit, by Juduth Kerr.Reading to this day is not a routine or choice but an integral part of my wind down time. It’s my go to, so I can switch off from the world.
I have dabbled with writing since I was a child, often getting complimented on my stories. Yet unfortunately grammar and spelling does not come naturally. I did not consider writing seriously until I was thirty-seven. Intending to write a mummy blog I found my psychological thriller flowed in its place

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My all time favorite book is The time travellers wife. I read all genres and find I go through phases of reading certain types. Most recently going through a medical bio stage. One thing which is unusual for an avid reader, I never intentionally return to a book, even if I loved it.
A book that resonates with me is called Taming the Beast by Emily McGuire. It’s a very disturbing books, very taboo,to this day I am unable to decide if I enjoyed it or if it was just so disturbing I couldn’t help but remember it. With that at the back of my mind Sculpting Amanda my first novel was born.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest full length novel Love’s first fall is a dark contemporary romance. I was all to aware that my previous books were sailing very close to the Dark side. Sitting to write love’s first fall I intended to write something lighter hearted , alas it was not to be. A book of self discovery was born. Elizabeth is A psychologist who has acquired a new client. Christopher,a doctor at her hospital, handsome but exceptionally damaged. Whilst she attempts to unscramble his troubled life she is forced to face her own demons. Soon realising that it is time to realise, with chaos as her constant companion, now was the time to accept she was the cause.
