Featured Interview With Jennifer M. Reid-Walker
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I am Jennifer Reid-Walker , an Author, Life Coach, speaker and mentor who is a mother, grandmother and wife. I was born and raised in the island of Jamaica but now resides in the USA for the past 10 years. My passion is to assist people navigate the complexities of life to be their best self. I spend my days caring for people; in whatever way my gifts lead me. I love to cook so I cook every day for my family because the kitchen is my happy place and I love to see the empty plates after every meal. I do not have any pets at this stage in my life but I had a pet chicken when I was a child.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I realize that I was fascinated with books from as early as 3 years old; I remember clearly that my gifts would be books as opposed to a doll! I loved writing stories in school and was my English Teacher’s favorite because of how believable my stories were, and after school I enrolled in a writing course because I wanted to be journalist for the Newspaper Company, and I would write articles and have them published in the local newspaper weekly. My first published article was in 1997 so I would say, that was my starting point.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite authors to read are Dr. Gary Chapman, Gary Inrig, and anything from the authors in the Daily Bread Ministries. My favorite genre is inspirational, motivational and faith-based, so in other words; Non-fiction, Self-Help and Biographies/Autobiographies.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is titled: “The Journey to Forgiveness; A Powerful Breakthrough in Healing and Freedom”. This book is a valuable resource for Preachers, Teachers, Life Coaches and individuals who need information and inspiration on how to live a Forgiving Life. This book explores the emotional and psychological challenges of forgiveness, offering practical guidance on how to navigate this deeply personal journey. It is a short read with only 82 pages, but it is power packed with all that is needed to live a Forgiven and Forgiving Life. It acknowledges that forgiveness can be difficult because when you are violated, intentionally or unintentionally, you feel a sense of injustice. Through personal stories, spiritual insights, and psychological research, this provides a roadmap to finding peace without compromising self-respect.
