Featured Interview With Heather Dahlgren
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I am 37 years old. I’m married to my high school sweetheart and we have 3 amazing kids. I was born and raised in NJ, where I still reside. I have 6 books published and many more in the works.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I started writing when I was in high school. I wrote a lot of poetry back then. I didn’t love reading until I got older. Even though I loved writing, reading didn’t hold my interest until I was older. Now I get to do both and I absolutely love it.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Some of my favorite authors to read are Kate McCarthy, Ella Emerson, Colleen Hoover, Alison Bailey…I could go on forever. My favorite genres are contemporary romance, coming of age, and NA.
It’s hard to say who inspires my writings. It depends on what I’m writing. Sometimes it’s a photo I’ve seen, sometimes it’s a song, sometimes it’s just a feeling I have.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book I published was Behind the Book (Sexy Series #2). This book is about an author and model. One heart needs healing, one heart learns how to love. Two lives that will never be the same.
Blake Foster is a playboy model, not looking for love. He is all about having fun and sleeping around.
London Tweed is a best selling author who lives through her books. She doesn’t do much else besides working and writing.
After having Blake on the cover of her book, London invites him to attend a signing – a signing that will change both of their worlds. It may take time for Blake to break down London’s walls, but when he does it transforms them both. Making London remember the person she used to be and Blake the man he wants to be.
London’s past doesn’t want to stay there and it may be something that will crush them both.
Blake and London’s story is the second book in this series. I adore them both. When I was writing, I put a lot of myself into London.
