Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
Well. I wasn’t raised anywhere, so to speak. Starting when I was about five or six, my family began moving a lot. Really.

Except for the house I’m living in right now, I’ve never lived in one place for more than two years. The one I’m in now we’ve been in for three years, and my parents say they don’t think we’ll be moving again, at least not until I’m out of the house.
What that means is, in ten years, I’ve lived in six houses. Yep.
Now, don’t get me wrong, living in FL, NY, and VA periodically is cool. But I’m glad I get to settle down a bit more this time in VA. It has all the seasons(Florida is basically summer year-round), but doesn’t snow from October to May(like New-York).

I do have three pets. My cute/annoying pup Ginger. She’s the cutest…and quite a pain at times, but she’s still a pup, and I love her to pieces. She’s this cute Pomeranian Yorkie-poo mix.
And two cats: my lovely fluffy grey princess Simone, and my sleek grey tabby Jasmine, who are sisters. Both have they’re quirks, but Jasmine is special because she has a smaller, second pupil in her right eye. Fascinating, I know.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
Funny story. I actually hated reading when I was younger. Why? Because I couldn’t do it. I was born with a scar on my left eye, and hated reading because of it. When I was in pre-school/first grade, I had to wear a patch over my right eye to strengthen the weaker left one. If I hadn’t worn that patch(oh man, how I hated that patch) then I would have developed a useless eye, one that strays.
So because of that, I didn’t really like reading until I was maybe seven or eight.

In spite of my defected eye, I have been gifted with things that are astonishing for someone who’s eye is impaired. For one thing, I’m an artist, and I’m a pretty good one if I do say so myself. (I drew my book cover). You can find me on diviantart where I post other art @Jade SilentWhisper.
I discovered my passion for writing at nine, and by thirteen I had big dreams.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I love to read a lot of genres. Mostly fantasy, but I’ve read sci-fi, action, war and military, thrillers, writing books, ect.
I love reading C.B. Stone, Christopher Paolini, and Erin Hunter.
Christopher inspires me the most, though. Only because I’m the same age he was when he began writing his first book, and mine’s published!

Tell us a little about your latest book?
The one that’s out is about a young orphan girl’s journey through betrayal and mistrust. She finds out about a rebel plot to start a war and kill the king, and must make the decision between going her own way, and warning someone. Her only problem? She can’t speak.

Let’s see… This book took me about a year and a half to write, re-write(oh, so many re-writes), proofread, find beta readers, edit, and publish. I could have taken shorter, but I wrote the WHOLE first draft longhand, which was a mistake…kind of.

I’m currently working on the second book in the series, and a shortstory that branches off my first book.
