Featured Interview With Goldie Alexander
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I live in Melbourne Australia where I have been working as freelance writer for the last 30 years. Though I mostly write for a young audience, I have written three adult murder mysteries and an now completing my second adult romance.
I have been married for 44 years to the same lovely man and I am now in the privileged position of having 6 great grandchildren. I spend my weekdays in an apartment in the city, and my weekends in the country the setting of many of my books.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I began my career as a reader at the age of three. Since then I haven’t stopped, not even after an accident three years ago that landed me in hospital and rehab for 3 months. I now read mostly on my Kindle which stores my latest 300 book library in cloud.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Because I belong to 2 book-cIubs I read literary works, and a lot of children’s novels. Otherwise I read randomly, such as books other people recommend. I sometimes find this question hard to answer. Voracious readers read everything, including the ads on street buildings.
