Featured Interview With Ericka Stafford
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born in raised in Detroit Michigan in a log cabin lol ! Now that I got your attention I really was born in Detroit I have five wonderful kids that keep me busy and update on the new trends. I love to spend time with family and friends and I also like to have fun I’m what you would call an adventurer.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have always been fascinated by words I remember being in the 5th grade and reading at an 9th grade level my teachers were so amazed. Reading is my first love when my friends were playing with Barbie’s I was reading a book. I started writing about eight years ago but published since September I have been in an anthology with six author great authors as well as written my own book.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite Genre is urban fiction mainly because that’s what I write I love the realness, raw emotion of it but I love to read all genres I’m not isolated to just one I love Patricia Cornwell as well as John Grisham I also love Donald Goines, and Carl Weber
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book “Looks Like Love Feels Like Hate” is a three part series filled with drama. I’ts and urban drama whose main character is a female by the name of Betty-B the story starts with her being the tender age of eight and having to take on the role of Mother to her five year old sister after there Mother becomes addicted to drugs. Growing up Betty-B had to do what she had to do for them to survive at the age of sixteen she started exchanging sex for food for them to eat since there mom would leave them alone for days at a time to fend for themselves.
