Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised in a small town in central British Columbia. I still live here. Local folks like to joke that once you’ve lived here, you’re stuck and can never escape, but the truth is I like it here. It’s a beautiful area and the people are lovely. It’s been a great place to raise my kids, and my fur babies. I have three kids, two cats, and a husband. My heart is full.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I was eleven and my mom finally let me read one of her coveted Dean Koontz books. After much consideration on what title would be appropriate for an eleven year old, she selected The Voice In The Night. I was hooked. I wanted to grow up and write books. I originally set out to write suspense novels, but discovered that romance is what I truly enjoy writing. I love exploring different relationship dynamics. I’m a mush lover from way back.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I love Dean Koontz, Diana Gabaldon, Terry Goodkind, Michael J. Sullivan, Justin Cronin, Colleen Hoover, JC Emery, Nazarea Andrews, L. M. Montgomery, and Elliot Wake. One of my favorite books is Unteachable by Leah Raeder (formerly Leah Raeder, he now writes as Elliot Wake) The prose is beautiful. The writing oozes with atmosphere and I just can’t get enough of that book. When I grow up, I can only hope to write with a fraction of his flair.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is a romantic suspense novel titled Measure For Measure. It’s about an up-and-coming author who is being stalked. It’s my first attempt at a romantic suspense and the reaction from some of the early beta readers is really, really, promising. I started writing it probably about a year ago, but hit a wall, got distracted, and forgot about it. At the end of May, shortly after I signed a contract with them, my publisher asked me if I had a romantic suspense to submit for an up and coming box set. I immediately thought of Measure For Measure. I kept little of the original book, made some changes to the material I did keep and then wrote the rest. It took me about six weeks to get it all done and ready to submit (lots of coffee was consumed in the making of Measure For Measure) but I did it. I’m super proud of it. I can’t wait for everyone to meet Millie and Ryker.
