Featured Interview With David Shaw
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I am a spirit medium from Kilmarnock in the west of Scotland. I was raised in Scotland and have always had the ability to interact with the spirit world. As well as a household of ghosts, I live with my wife, 10 year old son and new labrador puppy, Oscar.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I began reading the Hardy Boys books at about 10 years old and then became hooked on the imaginative world of Roald Dahl. Nowadays, I prefer non-fiction and started writing five years ago when I decided to write about my life as a spirit medium.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I like the wit and sarcasm of non-fiction writers like Jeremy Clarkson and Bill Bryson. As far as fiction, my favourite writer was John Steinbeck. I like to read about the wonders of real life and I’m inspired by ordinary people who do extraordinary things.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
Ghost Writers is a rather unique book that incorporates fiction and non-fiction. I was advised by my spirit workers to write a book about self help principles and was also informed that 10 famous writers from the past would be interacting with me to bring forward short fictional stories that would compliment the spiritual advice. I didn’t know the identity of the writers until the book was completed. My ability as a deep trance medium enabled me to receive the information from the Ghost Writers.
