Featured Interview With David K Scholes
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born in Southampton England but spent my final school years and early work years in Adelaide, South Australia. After travelling extensively for many years I finally settled down in Canberra the capital of Australia.
I have been writing science fiction for 7 years and have had six collections of short science fiction stories and two science fiction novellas published. These can all be found on Amazon
I have been a regular contributor to both the Antipodean SF and the Beam Me Up Pod cast sites.
Also I wrote a 12 part Alien Hunter series for the Golden Visions science fiction Magazine which ran for all of 2011 and was still on the GVM site in early July 2012 when that site closed down.
I have also been published on several other sci-fi sites including Bewildering Stories, 365 Tomorrows, and Farther Stars Than These.
At present I’m working on a new collection of speculative fiction short stories and am also writing a “Human Hunter” series for the Beam Me Up Pod Cast site.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I became fascinated with speculative fiction books and movies at 15 but did not develop an interest in writing science fiction until my mid to late 50’s.and have read
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Speculative Fiction is my favourite genre and within that I prefer science fiction to science fantasy. Isaac Asimov and Arthur C Clarke and Robert Heinlein are my favourite authors.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book published in July 2014 is “Daughter of the High Lords and Other Speculative Fiction Stories.”
It comprises some 14 fast paced, action packed science fiction and science fantasy stories.
In the main story the High Lord race and the Brell Super Power Empire find themselves pitted against the Coordinator of All Realities as the enigmatic entity Gathhe seeks to rescue Raechelle, daughter of the high lords, from an obscure reality.
