Featured Interview With c adrian balson
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
C Adrian Balson (or Cliff to his friends) was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He now resides in Phoenix Arizona. His previous works include “Onward Christian Salesman”(©copyright 2013 Clifford Adrian Balson), “The First of July – an Epiphanal Startling” ”(©copyright 2014 Clifford Adrian Balson) and a to a soon to be released collection of poetry. His childhood dream was to be a writer, and he lives that dream now after many years in pursuit of life’s so called rewards. His life experiences have been extremely broad having spent time at the top and the bottom of the social ladder.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I developed an interest in writing during my early teenage years. Most of my writing at that time was poetry and an occasional short story. I wrote through out my adult years but it was in the form of business documents, either proposals, training manuals, letters and contract (now that was some thrilling stuff). I began to answer the call for create writing at the age of fifty seven and have been working on it since then.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I tend to have rather eclectic taste and have enjoyed many different authors through out the years. I would say that currently I am partial to Thomas Merton and C S Lewis (though not necessarily in that order). My inspiration for writing is homage to the one that gifted me, God.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
The First of July – an Epiphanal Startling is like all science fiction in that it is an allegorical piece. The setting is in year 2113. The plot revolves around several individuals that find themselves involved in a plot to alter the current time thread by manipulating the past. Most of the player are find themselves involuntary participants in this events that play out around them. The selection of the place in time was made so that the entire course of world history could be radically altered. The date selected, the first of July 1863. The location is Gettysburg Pennsylvania.
