Featured Interview With Brenda Scruggs
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised and still live in Tennessee. I have to cats that act like children. You know when you’re busy writing and they want all you attention, jumping in lap, playing with the keyboard while I’m trying to type. But, they are my sweeties.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I took a journalism class in high school which peeked my interest in writing but didn’t get serious about writing until a few years ago.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I enjoy reading most type of genre’s but if I had to choose, I think it would be historical romance. I grew up riding horses and occasionally barrel raced in my younger days. I have many favorite authors but I like the ones that write about my home state.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
I am in the process of publishing a series called, “Ladies of Entrepreneurship.” These ladies are strong-willed and destine to follow the dream that God has put inside of them. But, my recently released book, “Michaela’s Justice,” is about Detective Michaela Kendall and US Marshal tracking the escaped convict that had abducted Michaela at the age of fourteen. The two clash on so many different levels but soon release they need each other more than they know, especially when Atelic Horton, the escapee is determined to make her his.
