She writes contemporary, paranormal (magic, ghosts, vampires, fairies, dragons, and werewolves), futuristic, medieval, and Regency-set historical. She loves to read all different kinds of romance so that is what she writes: MMF, MFM, FMMM, FFM, MM, FF, and MF. Whatever the characters need for their very hot happily-ever-after, Berengaria makes sure they get it.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
My mother was very ill when I was small so my father taught me to read. By the time I was about twelve I’d read every book in the children’s section of the local library, so he gave me his adult borrowing card and let me loose in the adult section. Nothing’s changed. I still read anything and everything.
I began writing one day when I had nothing to read!
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I read absolutely everything. Romance is a special favorite and I read all romance from sweet to kinky. Georgette Heyer was the first romance author I ever read and I still love her books. I’ve had all her books since I was a young teenager.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
The Beach Boys: Winter (MM). Outrageously gay Hudson Smith owns Hudson’s Clothing Store at Two Waters Beach. He loves his job but he wishes he had a partner to love. Elliott Greene is shy and unassertive. He’s here at the beach for a week’s vacation in mid-winter because everyone else at work wanted the warm weather for their vacation time. Elliott is cold and Hudson invites him into the store to warm up. They drink tea and talk, getting to know each other. Elliott ends up remaining in the store with Hudson all day long as they begin to get to know each other and share their stories.
Hudson is very attracted to his shy, blushing guest, and is proud when Elliott proves there’s a smart brain and a gentle humor hidden behind the bland façade. Meanwhile Elliott determines to follow his grandpop’s advice and stop being too nice to everyone and instead to ask for what he wants.
The first story at Two Waters beach took place in Summer but I couldn’t stop thinking about the beach. Another couple of men found love in Fall and this story takes place in Winter. The final story, is, of course, set in Spring, and will release in two weeks’ time.
The book won’t be up on Amazon for several weeks. It’s only available with the publisher right now: http://www.bookstrand.com/the-beach-boys-winter
