Featured Interview With Ashley Moss
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised and Memphis, Tn. I currently still reside there. I don’t have any pets. I do have 2 siblings (a brother and sister) and a loving grandmother though.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I realized that I was fascinated with books at the age of twelve when I was first introduced to the wonderful world of Harry Potter and JK Rowling. Harry Potter was my first book boyfriend. I started writing poetry at the age of twelve as well. Personal essays, motivational articles, and short inspirational stories followed just recently.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite authors to read are Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou, Flannery ‘O’ Connor, and many others. My favorite genre to read is classic literature. Toni Morrison and Mark Twain both inspire me in my writings, because Mark’s style had wit and humor while Toni’s has depth and pushes literary boundaries.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My e-book Lessons I’ve Learned: A Collection of Inspirational and Love Poetry is a book of poems that took a year to compile. However, the poems were written during my pre-teen and teenage years.
