Featured Interview With Arnittress Dowdy
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised in New York, outside of the city. I still currently live in New York with my two boys.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I fell in love with poetry when I was about eight. I was amazed at how you could express your feelings, create a scene and tell a story through poetry. From there I started writing poems to express to my mom how much I loved her but then later learned that writing was how I best expressed myself. I was about nine or ten when I read her first romance novel, Once Is Not Enough by Jacqueline Susann. I had no business reading that book at that age but I did and was thrilled when I discovered that they made it into a movie. I read that book 1987/88 and discovered the movie in 2009.
Growing up I wasn’t consistent with writing, I mean I kept journals but creatively, I wasn’t consist until after I graduated from high school. I started experiencing emotions/feelings that I didn’t understand and that’s when I really dove into writing.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I honestly don’t have a favorite author, I just love reading good books no matter the author or genre. This might sound crazy but my feelings inspire me to write.
Tell us a little about your latest book?

So for two weeks she’s caught in a battle between following her heart and fighting temptation.
Dreamtini II: The Reality answers the questions that Dreamtini left you wondering about. Did she follow her heart and fight off temptation. Friendships come to an end, new relationships are formed and a baby is born.
