Featured Interview With Angela Litton
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised in West Virginia, but have spent most of my adult life away from the ‘hills and hollers’ of home. My family, our 10 year old Pomeranian, my daughter’s two kittens, and I live in Indiana.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I’ve been an avid reader since I was very small. Before I could read, I preferred the stories my mom would tell me or read to me over any other form of entertainment. I’ve written stories, poems, and novellas since I was about 12 years old.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I have too many favorite authors to list! I love almost every genre of book, though interest in more serious genres waxes and wanes. Fantasy is probably my favorite, if forced to choose.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
I’m not only a self – published author, but also a first time author. My book, Appalachian Mist: Bobbie’s story, is what I hope will be the first in a family saga, set in a small fictional town in WV. Bobbie, the female lead, returns to face down her personal demons. In the course of this, she falls in love. There are tragedies and victories along the way. It’s her story of struggling to overcome the crazy things life throws at her.
It was a very emotional book to write, despite only having taken a few months for the first draft. I was inspired by a dream I had, which you can read about on my Facebook, but had no plan. Bobbie’s story kind of wrote itself.
