Featured Interview With Angela Bradshaw
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
Angela grew up in Dubai in the 80s, she now lives in Surrey with her husband, two daughters and beautiful Siberian Forest Cat. She loves working with people from all walks of life. She has a passion for international travel, in addition to her mission to improve the health and wellbeing of modern people. This has been a constant theme throughout her life, firstly in her career as a radiographer, then as a sonographer and now teaching Alexander Technique. There’s always more to learn!
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I have always been a book worm. Reading was my pleasure from being a very young child and something I continued and wished to pass on with my own children. I love learning, and for me, a new book allows the opportunity to enter a whole new world, and therefore gain a whole new perspective and understanding on life, people, and myself. What’s not to love?
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Favourite authors, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Louisa May Alcott, Brene Brown, Rudyard Kipling, Tolkien, Shakespeare, Roald Dahl amongst others…….I am often inspired by Roald Dahl in my writing, I love a childlike perspective and approach as it’s so pure and natural. I like to make my writing accessible to all too no matter the background, age or education a reader has experienced.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
Be In Balance is a simple introduction to the work of F.M. Alexander. This practical educational method is well known in acting and musician circles as a fundamental skill to enhance performance, posture, wellbeing, coordination, energy levels and stamina. I wanted to bring his technique into the mainstream as it has been so beneficial to my own life, and is so relevant in our crazy busy modern lives. The Nursing Times said ‘ This book should be read by anyone who experiences pain or discomfort in their daily lives as a result of repetitive activity or injury.’
