Featured Interview With Angel M.B. Chadwick
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born in Jackson, Mississippi and raised in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. I live in my birthplace for now. No. I have an eight year old son, who is very rambunctious.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
When I was five, I read the New Testament in its entirety. Yes, I could read at age five. I started writing when I was thirteen, when I wrote my first short story for a class assignment.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Edgar Allan Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Bret Harte, Alice Walker, Gwendolyn Brooks, Sylvia Plath, to name a few. All genres. Reality inspires me.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
“Corridors of My Mind” is a nonfiction-memoir written in the form of lyrical poetry. It took me twenty years to write it. I start telling my adulthood, motherhood, teenage years and marriage.
