Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Washington, DC. I received an undergraduate degree from Frostburg State University and a Medical Degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore. I served in the US Navy for 8 years and currently work as a family medicine physician for the Navy. I am a single mother of three and I adopted a dog from a shelter recently. Writing has always been a hobby for me and now I am making it into a career. 200 Letters is my first novel.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I read Coldest Winter Ever my senior year of high school and it changed my life. before that I hated reading. now I read anytime I get a chance which unfortunately is limited with my crazy career and life.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Sista Souljah, Virginia DeBerry, Donna Grant, Eric Jerome Dickey, Zane, God (I love the Bible)
Tell us a little about your latest book?
200 Letters is a spirited novel about two people trying to escape abusive relationships and finding love, strength, and endurance through their struggle. They are faced with the harshest of obstacles (hatred, jealousy, manipulation, physical danger, and social injustice) on their journey. This page turner is filled with passion, drama, suspense and spiritual enlightenment. It took me 1.5 years to write. It really flowed as I was writing which I think is why it didn’t take very long.
