Featured Interview With Alexandra ISOBEL
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Love it so much I’m still here!
I went to local schools but traveled. I love to see new places and do new things.
I have a German Sheppard named Lexi who keeps me balanced when everything else starts to go over the edge.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I wrote my first set of stories when I was in grade three or four. They were a collection of short stories I used to keep in a very plain notebook. Hide in plain sight!
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I am an absolute die hard romance reader and writer and have read everything by Jayne Ann Krentz, Elizabeth Lowell and Diana Palmer. I was inspired by these ladies’ Harlequin writing days.
I’ve now expanded to reading alot of indie authors and love Katy Evans, Lisa Marie Rice, Abbi Glines, Lori Leigh, and Maya Banks to name just a few.
As you can probably tell I have a weakness for alpha heroes.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
Spanish Security is my baby right now. It stems from a time when I was court appointed parent supervisor, and had to accompany a little boy on all his visits with his father. During the visits I always wondered what would happen if I suddenly woke up in a closet to find the little boy and father gone. I was young with a very active imagination!
Spanish Security is about a heroine who blacks out on her final supervised visit with her best friend’s son with his father. She wakes up to find herself in Basque Country, staring up at the boy’s father’s head of security (hero).
