Author Bio:
As a child, author Teresa E. Nelson stared out the window and traveled to imaginary places that provided countless moments of delight when the mundane moments of life left her uninspired.
“Hello, hello”, her father would say as he waved his hand in front of her face. “Come back, come back, from wherever you are.” He was right in his observations. Traipsing through her mind were made-up people embarking on adventurous lives in places near and far, and although the daydreaming was enjoyable, her father reminded her that there were chores to do and much to learn.
Years later Teresa got a grip on her story-telling zeal and brought her fictitious characters and their circumstances to life on the written page. A degree in communication, a career in teaching and human service work, a calling to ministry, raising a family in rural Minnesota, and a couple of go-arounds with cancer have given her plenty of experiences on which to weave tales of real life trimmed with faith and hope.
Her first book, Tender Mercies for Tough Moments: A 31 Day Journey into the Blessings of God gives readers helpful guidance for a faith-filled life.

When not writing or preaching, Teresa finds additional enjoyment playing games with her nine precious grandchildren, reading, hunting, fishing, and cooking a farm-house meal for the guests at her table. Of course, the dinner is followed by a piece of blueberry pie and a good cup of coffee.
